Art-Mokhovaya

Hotel is a little hard to find (it's located behind an alley which took us a while to find) but honestly once we were inside we couldn't help but be impressed by the room, the ambiance, and the service. Breakfast served daily straight to your room with your choice of certain items which they ask you to submit via form the night before. Hotel is situated in a really good overall location.

It was a good stay. The staff at the reception was very cooperative. They could speak some English that was very helpful.

This hotel is almost impossible to find. There should be a sign on Mokhovaya street explaining the way to this location. Also note that the grand piano in the grand suite is not tuned. Overall staying in this hotel was a good experience though.

Rooms, service, food all great value for money. The Hotel is situated very close to all the main tourist sites. The only downer is that the hotel is a bit difficult to find not being on a road front. the entrance is off an internal court yard in the city block and there is no road front signage.

Staff helped to print something and meet other requests. It was very cool to received the breakfast in the room. For the price I paid (around $US 50) it beat my expectations.

Yes this place is a bit hard to find. But go thru the courtyard access tunnel 50m from the western end of Mokovia St and there she is. Think they would have got a sign up by now. If you arrive by train from Helsinki pay no more than 400 RB by taxi. The train has free wifi so order your uber before you get off. About a 7min ride in light traffic but expect 20 min in peak. Anyway...very clean rooms, relatively quite and lots of good wifi. Bed a bit hard but still comfy. We got the suite (so can't comment on the other rooms) which gave us plenty of room to recover from all the walking we did. Bathroom was modern and very clean with plenty of hot water. Girls on the desk do a great job...on-call 24hrs. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss but included with the room. Gave you enough energy to get out amongst the sites. The great thing about the Art is how close you are to everything. Museums, churches, parks, banks, bars and restaurants. If I am lucky enough to get back to St P then I would stay again.

It is a tiny hotel inside an old house, it does not have amenities of traditional big hotels, e.g. halls, gyms, restaurants. It is great for those who are considering the hotel pretty much a place to rest and sleep before next day sightseeing or work. It does have pretty much everything for that.

The hotel is very nice but the entrance to the building doesn't smell good. The people is very kindly and you have breakfast to your room every morning. The mattress are not very comfortable. It's very good located. I'm not sure if I recommend this hotel.

Inexpensive, clean enough, and close to downtown.

Very spacious room (suite) in the heart of SPB, walking distance to many attractions. Entrance is in the courtyard and was difficult to find, but the location guaranteed quiet rooms in a multi-apartment buildings with windows facing the courtyard. Furniture is old, but bed is comfortable with a decent mattress. Bathroom is sparkling clean. Hot water changed intensity the night we checked in, so we were fighting the intermittently hot and cold shower. Breakfast was simple, but ok (better than the usual bagel/scrambled eggs/bacon). Its' delivery to the room right on time - totally rocked!
