I agree with many other reviews. The hotel was hard to find; put in the address then walk thru the driveway that is across from the 24 sign, then turn right and you'll see the building. Breakfast was a selection of museli, cereal, hard/soft boiled eggs, sausage/bacon, a few drinks, and you had to submit your order the day before and they'll bring it to your room. If you have a heavy bag, be aware there are stairs. The bed is not comfortable, the room not efficient, cleaning is mediocre. That said, if you plan to site see, the location is convenient. If you just need a place to rest your head for the night, then it's fine.

Stayed for 3 nights. Wonderful hotel, great service, excellent location. It's a little bit hard to find, as other people noted, but the receptionist gave us very precise instructions. Choices of cereal could be wider. Other than that, perfect hotel.

There are so many wonderful things to say about the Art-Hotel. I will start with the very helpful staff. From Alexandra, Anastasia, Diana and Egor each one spoke English and they couldn't be more friendly and helpful.The room was large and well maintained. The breakfast plenty and the location was excellent. There are negatives such as it is almost impossible to find it the first time, but give the taxi driver the telephone number of the Hotel and he will find it. After, not a problem. The biggest negative is it is located in a residential area and the court yard is noisy with the neighbors at night. Simply close the windows and that seems to take care of the problem (if it is too stuffy, they will give you a fan). All in all not only an excellent trip as St Petersburg is lovely the hotel was great place to come "home" to. We were there 9 nights and we highly recommend the Art-Hotel to all travelers.

The hotel was nice and friendly but almost impossible to find. No signs on the street. The shower was dangerous (real quick and unexpected change of cold and boiling hot water). Otherwise friendly stuff and good breakfast.

I stayed at the hotel with my sweetheart for 8 nights, it has been a really pleasant experience. Friendly and helpful staff, great selection of breakfast(which is brought directly to the room). Very clean rooms, comfortable. The location is 5 minutes from the main attractions at Saint Petersburgh. The only downside was to initially find the hotel, where specifically it was located, other than side, one of the best hotel experiences I have had in awhile, I would recommend.

Quiet and nice

Ten minutes walk from subway, close to several good eating places, staff speaks good English and everyone was polite.

We spent 5 nights in the hotel. It is within easy walking distance of Nevsky Prospect and the Hermitage, but a little far from the Mariinsky theatre. Rooms and bathrooms are clean and well looked after. Our room was rather hot though. Some of the staff aren't knowledgeable about local restaurants, but all are helpful with tourist sites and travel arrangements. A good mid-range choice.

This charming hotel was enclosed in a block of buildings so it was quiet although in a busy neighborhood. Our taxi had trouble finding it so make sure you have the hotels phone number handy so he can call for directions. It was within walking distance to most all the major sites., even for we two 70 year old women. The neighborhood was safe and had lots of shops, grocery stores, pubs and restaurants. We thought we had hit the jackpot when we entered our beautiful, spacious room (junior suite) after 10 days in a very tiny cabin on a river cruise ship . A generous breakfast was included and served in the room, even at 2 a.m. on our day of departure. Wi-fi was fast and free. Beautiful bathroom with lots of hot water. The English speaking staff were friendly and helpful. They ordered our taxi, got a space heater to take the chill off our room, told us where to eat and gave advice about tourist sights. Only two very minor complaints- no English speaking TV channel. We were starved for news after our river cruise without TV or internet. However, we got it off the internet so not really a problem. The other complaint - no fridge. I love my cold Coca Cola Lite. Loved this hotel! Less than $30 (800 rubles) taxi from the airport or the river cruise port.
