The Mulburn Inn

The inn provided a variety of breakfast foods: eggs, French toast, fresh fruit, honey bacon and a potato and onion medley. However, I ordered poached eggs, and the owner, David, was happy to make them for me. The breakfast nook had a beautiful huge stone fireplace which had hardwood logs burning brightly. It was delightful. The owner, David, is very sociable and engaging. You can tell that he loves his historic inn and tenders it with much care. Our king size room had a very comfortable bed, lots of windows, two cosy armchairs, and an electric fireplace. We stayed in our room while watching the winter Olympics, but we could have also seen them downstairs in the common rooms.

Breakfastt was exceptional, and when I needed it rather than a set time I had to show up. That's getting to be unusual these days. House is asolutely gorgeous and so many parts of it open to guests. You can be sociable if you want, or find a private place to sit is that's your preference.

The bathrooms could be updated, but they are servicieable as is. Considering all the work the new owners are putting into upgrading the facility, they will get there ut it's not the firsts priority.
