Hotel Suncity Apollo

I really loved this hotel. This hotel is right next to the Gateway of India and the ocean, also the next street over is the Colaba Causemay which is a great street market that has all kinds of stores to stop by and then vendors selling cool gifts. The hotel provided a free breakfast which was good and they had free internet in the rooms which is why I booked this hotel. The front desk people were really nice and hopeful and the door people were also nice and helpful. There is a grocery store across the street on the corner of the opposite street of the hotel which was great for what we wanted to buy. The room we had was big with a nice king bed and wonderful view. I will stay here next time I come to Mumbai.

After a long and tiring trip through India, my husband and I decided to splurge on a nice hotel in Mumbai before flying home. I'm so glad that we chose Hotel Apollo. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the location (in the Colaba neighborhood) is close to most of the tourist sights, with great restaurants and shopping near by. I would stay here again!

This hotel is relatively expensive but so are most of the three star hotels in Mumbai. The most outstanding feature of this hotel is it's wonderful location. You are an easy 600 metres from the Gateway to India which in my opinion is the heart of Mumbai. You can easily get to The Taj and to Elefanta island. The surrounding area- for India- is fantastic as the traffic does not travel on the footpaths , there are curbs and traffic lights. It is easy to walk around. The room is adequate with A/C and cable TV and a good wifi. Breakfast is good also. I could not work out why there were mothballs in the bathtub and a few spread round the bathroom floor. The odour of these is quite revolting.

Overall the hotel was good. On arrival there was a confusion with the booking and to how many nights we were staying but this was sorted out. Had 2 double rooms one of the newer design, tv 's didnt work initially but were fixed promptly. Bed linen and towels were clean, there seem to be there odd ants that kept appearing on the side bed and the room and bathroom had a very strong smell of mothballs. The hotel location is very good as its not far from the markets and the sea. Dont expect a good nights sleep until after 3am as the people of bombay are awake al hours with them talking shouting and the sounds of horns were at its fullest until 3am. When ordering from the bar there seems to be so many taxes added which really pushes up the price, only bad thing about the hotel was breakfast. Even though its a buffet there isn't much choice or quantity available and the strangest combinations.

A must stay hotel in mumbai . Ideal for the location and cleanliness.

Me and my boyfriend stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. It was exactly what we were looking for! The rooms were not big and there was some small staints on the bedsheets but except for that everything was great! Comfy bed, clean bathroom, pretty quiet in the room, nice breakfast, fantastic staff and absolutely perfect location! I totally recommend this hotel to all guests except for those who expect the very very best - in that case, try Taj mahal, we had a look at it and it looked absolutely great!

We had a great time staying at this hotel. The staff was very helpful with suggestions for sightseeing and shopping. The location of the hotel is perfect. Walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go, including down the street from the Gateway to India and the Taj hotel. The room wasn't the best, but it was mostly clean (the sheets and towels were a bit stained) and there was a funny odor, but that cleared itself up for the most part by the second day. There were three of us and there was a sofa/chair that converted into a bed that was very comfortable. They did charge us extra for a third person. Overall, really enjoyed our time in Mumbai and the location and customer service of the hotel outweighed the shortcomings of the room itself.

I have stayed at the apollo hotel whenever i visited bombay ,for the past 20 years and more,rooms are not always available,it is centrally located and clean.it was renovated or started to be renovated in the past 20 years or more,it has a large number of clients from arabia and staff speaks english as well as arabic maybe other languages too.breakfast included in room price,it is a decent meal,and the restaurant has been renovated..it is pleasant can become better .this hotel is always improving and they do not ask for tips and do not bother people with their wants as some other hotel employees do.most of the staff has been with the hotel for years.i would recommend apollo.also its rooms are fairly large for the price one pays compared to the other colaba hotels and the furniture is clean and well maintained..the bathroom has a bath tub and the room has windows have a street view or side view.i definitely recommend apollo for its location and convenience and helpful and discreet staff..

This hotel was exactly what we were looking for. The location is perfect! The staff was very friendly and also helped us find our way around Mumbai. The rooms are not shinny and new, but the beds are comfortable and the AC/ceiling fan was great! Colaba is the perfect place to stay for a traveler and there are tons of good restaurants (Ali-Babas is a must) around as well as walking distance to the Gateway to India, boats to Elephant Caves, and Taj Hotel. I would definitely return to this hotel.

great location, friendly staff, comfortable room. decent value in overpriced area.
