Belair Beach Hotel

This was our second time at the Belair and about our 8th time to Ixia.    We had a late evening check-in which took  a while as only 1 reception guy on and about 15 people to check in.  He was very polite & professional.  Overall this hotel is still good value and offers clean rooms and a safe environment.   The alI inclusive deal is also still good value.  We didn't have a bad meal although not as many Beef or Lamb dishes as previous year. Plenty of pork dishes!  A young lady in the dining room who generally greeted you in and out, sorry dont know her name, she helped get tooth picks!  Every night she was smiling and ready to help and certainly deserves a mention.   There was a good variety of drinks served at the pool bar and also various snacks if you didn't want to go in the main restaurant for lunch.   Alex and Bob from the entertainment team were great fun and work hard during the day with darts, Aqua gym and water polo etc.  Also they provided entertainment in the evening which again was ok.   A big special mention is to our good friend Ilyas who works behind the main Bar.   On our first night when we walked in he gave us such a lovely welcome, recognised us straight away and remembered our names instantly!! and we were back chatting like we'd never been away.  Our only negative is that we had already tried to book for next year through Tui or Jet2 but seems this hotel is no longer on their contracted list.  So sadly it seems like this will be our last time here unless there is a change.  Thankyou again to all staff and fingers crossed they continue having visitors from the UK.

I would give this hotel a 2 stars only because the room was cold the heating did not work. The electricity went off, the room was missed cleaned for one day. The water was not cold but it was also a water that you couldn’t have a proper shower as it was not proper water for shower.The food was great but also a little bit boring as it was pretty much the same every day. we had spoken to people that had arrived the same day as us and they were disappointed the same as we was with the water and electricity going off and also no heating working. But one thing I loved was the staff they were ever so welcoming and supportive. The location was amazing had the sea view room and wouldn’t complain about the view, only that the towels and bed sheets get cleaned every 2 days which in my opinion is not right. There was no atmosphere throughout the day, no like games no nothing just at the pool, they music on and that’s on till 6pm, nothing interesting at all. We went for 4 nights and I would tell you now I would not give this hotel a 4 stars as it was nothing like hotels I been before with 4 starts.

This hotel is diabolical and makes Fawlty Towers look like a 5 Star hotel. Electric tripped 5 times in one day for hrs on end taking 2 whole floors out during the day and night. Management reckoned it was because someone used an iron and the girls are using straighteners?! Friends locked out of their room for 3 hrs ar a time because of the electric issues. No help from management who are rude and dont keep residents up to date of what's happening. No tap/shower water for hours on end, they say it's an island issue, however hotels either side have running water. Restaurant food is nice, however you have to pay for water if your only half board. Yes even though you've been without electricity, running water and a hotel room. No compensation or compassion here. Advertised as 2 pools and a children's pool. Only 1 pool ready and the children's pool hadn't even be cleaned, and according to the life guard isnt for use even though no signs up to advise otherwise. She even watched us paddling in it and said nothing until we asked her?! General staff are lovely, however management and reception staff are rude and obnoxious.

Hotel staff are rude and don’t listen to you and hotel bathroom was flooding and getting really slippy. Won’t go again the food was okay some nights but found pink chicken so didn’t eat the chicken. Pool side was slippy not much entertainment the pool side food was nice. Don’t think there is much to do round the area. Wouldn’t go again!

I am dissatisfied with the hotel and its location. The staff, however, provided exceptional service. The executive rooms are satisfactory, but the older section of the hotel is quite dated. There are two pools; the main pool plays loud music throughout the day, and the second pool becomes shaded in the afternoon. The alcoholic beverages, particularly the beer, were unpalatable, and most of the carbonated soft drinks were flat. While the food was of good quality, the dining experience felt comparable to a factory canteen. Can not understand why people love it 😒

This is a truly fantastic hotel! I loved everything about it, for my first time in Rhodes it was a great experience. The location was great, the rooms were spacious and clean, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the pool was amazing! I was half board and really enjoyed the food too, I was advised if I wasn’t having dinner in the restaurant I was welcome to eat there for lunch instead which was incredibly generous. I really don’t have anything bad to say about this hotel at all. It was a 5-star experience all round!

This is a honest review, just got back from a lovely holiday to Rhodes , Rhodes Town & especially the old Town were beautiful highly recommend to go there, Lindos & Symi a definite choice to go too, stunning places , THE HOTEL this is not a 4 ⭐️in my opinion, very tired looking , needs new sun beds as the ones were very old , The rooms were ok we just had the standard ones little small but functional, cleaned every day , towels are old and thin , The furniture in the hotel needs replacing again old , windows need a good clean especially in the restaurant , Food was a bit limited, however we did always find something to eat most nights, the food was mostly Luke warm needed to be hotter, soup always good & hot tho .The hotel staff were fantastic always friendly & work so hard . Unfortunately there is a strong smell of sewage up by the pool area & outside the hotel, this is coming from the sewage outlet across the road !!!!!!!!! Stinks wouldn’t go in the see because of this , beach not good full of rocks & stones , the busses are every 20mins & only 10 minutes to Rhodes town/ old town so handy to get about, would possibly go back but certainly a different location & hotel.

Definitely NOT 4 star!! 3 for the hotel and a generous 2 for the food!! Who eats carrots for breakfast?? Pictures look nice but the reality is they are just about to close down for the winter and we were literally given the dregs from the freezer to eat!! Nice room but NOT an executive suite,mostly nice staff,cold pools but we enjoyed that. Food....hmmm.... Pretty rubbish actually,carrots and raw oats for breakfast?? Other offering there including burnt to a cinder really awful streaky bacon and beans but EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING was cold including plates!! Just dreadful,either offer a FULL service or close your doors now!! I
