Belair Beach Hotel

Ok,so this is my second time at this hotel and absolutely the last. The difference a year makes is outstanding, last year it was welcoming, friendly and had great food - the only downside was the cleaners stealing from the room. This year, holy mackerel. The reception team are cold and unhelpful - the food is the worst I've experienced on a Greek island hotel, the restaurant staff are unhappy to say the least. Honestly at the moment I am searching for another hotel to go to - we apparently got an upgrade. The fridge barely keeps things cold, the door was constantly beeping which we were relaibly informed to "close the door properly" which didn't actually make any difference at all - we just gave up on them doing anything at all. Luckily for us, this trip I was here to review the hotel so I have everything recorded (even the interaction with the man telling us things weren't broken and it was our fault for not doing things properly). There is no way this hotel deserves it's 4 stars anymore, 2 at best. Do yourself a favour, don't stay here you will be disappointed.

Another fantastic stay at the Hotel Belair. Really appreciate been giving the same floor with pool/sea view as before. Reception staff were great and so helpful on arrival. Dining room staff were brilliant as well as a great choice of food. Maids done a great job and also the lifeguard was helpful and pleasant at the pool. A big shout out for Ilias the head barman and his team at the main bar who were relentless pouring drinks and minimising any queues. Great timing for us with Alex (Gerry Cinnamon) joke😎 returning for the day and evening entertainment while we were there as I have said before he was one of the funniest guys I had met in years and still is as well as a great entertainer. Overall another fantastic stay at the Hotel Belair.

My husband & I stayed at this hotel we got Executive Sea View Room. This room was lovely good sized room lovely & clean. Nice bathroom & good shower. Hairdryer in the bathroom & shampoo supplied. Lovely view overlooking the main pool & the beach. We were Half board, always something to eat at breakfast & dinner. Though the dinner choice did get repetitive, not enough choice In the evening. We found the staff lovely & helpful. Also are room was cleaned everyday. Location was good near all the bars & restaurants & the beach. & Only about 10 minutes on the bus into Rhodes. Great shop beside the hotel as you come of the main door to the left hand side. Good prices & lovely staff Bad Points Main pool bar not enough selection of drinks. Also we found the selection of food wasn't great. Also wasn't any ice lolly's snacks etc. We usually ate out in Ixia at lunchtime if we're hungry. Smaller pool (downstairs from where you get breakfast) lovely pool we preferred here as it was a lot quieter. Again not great selection of drinks & didn't do any food or snacks at all. Good base for exploring Greece. We loved Ixia lovely place quiet & lots of nice restaurants for dinner. Not a bad hotel just feel there is some things they could improve on. If we were back in Rhodes I don't think we would stay at this hotel again but that is personal choice. We dont usually stay in the same hotel. So many other hotels to stay in Ixia if we were to come back.

Just returned from a 14 night stay, very average hotel, Pool bar staff disinterested in serving drinks , would rather talk to each other, restaurant staff only happy at 8.45 when it was time to share their tips. No daytime entertainment the first week , this did improve the 2nd week. Hotel was clean and the infinity pool was a nice touch.

Just back from a fab 10 nights at Bel Air,no negatives,only positives.Staff all really nice and very hard working,big shout to Giannis in the restaurant for looking after us so well during our stay,even found time for a bit of banter about the football.Food was varied and in my opinion something for everyone.Had an executive room with sea view and couldn't really have asked for anything more,spotlessly clean and tidy at all times.Nice selection of sports bars and tavernas nearby so all good.Would definitely recommend and will probably return. Rooms: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Location: 4/5

The hotel was in a good location, the room was clean. The food was not really delicious. The people working here are nice. The pool is very cold. The gym was not good, only 2 things can be used in it.

Hotel was very nice , room was cleaned every day , the hotel staff are an absolute credit to their employer,the food is well above your average all exclusive, love the different soups and there pizza is great , the cooked meat dishes were delicious, plenty of sunbeds and across the road is the beach , Beer is very nice also the wine , bog standerd spirits take your own duty free, lovely first time in Rhodes, will be back

We came here for our 10 day Honeymoon. My 2nd time on Rhodes but stayed in a different part of Rhodes my wife's 1st time. We both read past mixed reviews on hotel but you can't please everyone we stayed in the executive suites 5th floor sea view and couldn't fault the view you had waking up from arriving after the restaurant had closed that had 2 plates of food in the fridge and 2 bottles of water. Reception was busy with checking in other guests just arrived as we got a private charter from Airport to Hotel to make life a little easier and the taxi driver was very informative of the area we will be staying at. The tourist tax is 10 Euroes per night for a 4* hotel and the safe payment was another 20 Euroes. The reviews on being on a busy road is right and the beach is over the road and never had a problem crossing it as vehicles will slow down for you to cross. We used the public transport and got the bus tickets from supermarket on the left at 3.60 Euroes per person return from bus stop just up from Hotel on left. We found buses after 9.00am crowded like playing sardines at times. Once into Rhodes you can explore places of interest be it by bus or boat from the kiosks at the harbour side. Places we found a must in our opinion is Boat trip to Symi, The Butterfly valley and 7 Springs. Lindos Acropolis and the Hippo Submarine trip. Also Farma Rhodes where you can get up close and feed the different animals they have and the Lemurs interaction was the highlight. As a chef my opinion of the standard of food offered at the hotel was good but you can't please everyone in what guests like. I like my food and never went hungry in not liking the selection be it breakfast or dinner service. We never used the restaurant at lunchtime as we were out on our planned excursions each day. It does pay to do your homework on things to do on Rhodes as unless your a pool lounger which we weren't and the policy on reserving sunbeds with towels never applied to any guest I feel.Even as even before we went down for breakfast at 7.30am daily there were towels on sunbeds even with signs posted on hotel policy regarding this matter. The evening entertainment had just changed from previous team so things were a little stress but give the new team time to settle by end of present season. Others have written about the traffic noise at night and weve not really noticed just the scooters and motorbike going past but with over 50% riding with no safety equipment on as my wife's a biker couldn't get her head round possibly knowing what happens if you crashed. We are planning to comeback at a later date once we've saved enough to fly to Rhodes for another 10 day hol😎😊. The housekeepers cleaned the rooms every day and hotel spotless and marbled floor throughout was kept clean.

Absolutly brilliant had executive room can't hear the cars or bikes at all Staff are lovely, food is very very good, Hotel is cleaned throughly My only grip is the tles in shower need a better non slip mat as I have mobility probs , But in all it was a perfect 10 days. I really dont want to leave. Would I come back to this hotel ??? Yes Absolutly n wed book the executive room again, I love this hotel, The reviews people have given this hotel are very very wrong.

We are just back from a 2 week stay at the Belhair Hotel , and had a fabulous stay, room was executive with sea view and did not disappoint , reception staff were lovely as were the staff in restaurant, always greeted you with a smile, cleaners always said good morning as well , we just had the best holiday and thankyou all staff at the Belhair for making our holiday such a lovely experience 10/10 to you all , and the view from the pool there are no words AMAZING, thankyou again to you all we had a blast .
