We had an amazing experience at Tech de Broc! We had an early afternoon tee time at Ballybunion and were able to be accommodated to check into our room by the innkeeper. Our room was spacious, clean, sunfilled, the shower and bathroom also spacious and comfortable and the bed was very comfortable. We had dinner and then breakfast at the inn and both were very good. After dinner we had a drink at the bar and found the guests fun to chat with in a wonderfully casual setting. The innkeeper happened to be there and was charming and very welcoming. What I loved most about Teach de Broc was the warm, welcoming vibe in a cozy, comfortable setting. No pretense, just friendliness, good food, and great service. Teach de Broc is a great place to stay when you're playing Ballybunion (easy walk to the clubhouse)!

This was a gem. Self-described as a Guest House, Teach de Broc (Teach is pronounced “Tok”, or so I was told) is a small, family-run hotel that welcomes everyone but is ideally situated to accommodate golfers who have trekked to Ballybunion, Ireland to play its eponymous golf course. This establishment was ideal for our needs. Brothers, Cian and Dermot, who run the establishment with their mother, make every effort to cater to the needs of their customers. They were all cheerful and engaging, and put forth the best in Irish hospitality. The establishment includes a nicely appointed dining room with beautifully decorated upholstered seating, and fine art adorning the walls. There is also a small, adjoining bar with indoor and outdoor seating. The menu was eye popping and the food quality and service were excellent; tellingly, some of the patrons were locals. Rooms were spacious, clean, equipped with flat screen tvs, and the beds enabled a great night’s sleep. For those visiting to play the golf course, there is no lodging that is more convenient; the driving range is across the street (but you can't see it because of some adroit landscaping), and the clubhouse is close enough to walk to with your clubs. Yet, regardless of the purpose of your visit, Teach de Broc should be your choice for lodging if you visit Ballybunion. I would not stay anywhere else.

If you want a place that is friendly, well run, attentive and comfortable in every way, Teach de Broc is for you. Add to that a very good kitchen and you have a wonderful home base - especially if you are playing at Ballybunion Golf Club which is a five minute walk and two minutes to the range. Don't miss it.
