Fundy Rocks Motel and Chocolate River Cottages

Not sure how to give a star rating for this place as I can't remember the last time I stayed somewhere that had no A/C. That to me is a 1-star right there, but should I blame myself for not catching that A/C wasn't listed under amenities? Seriously, who knew you had to check if a place in Canada has A/C in 2023? Fortunately it was only 28C and humid the one night we stayed there. Aside from this, the manager (Owner?) appears to barely want to interact with his guests, simply advising he had charged our card and the key was in the room and then we saw a sign telling us to leave it there when we left. The room was dingy, dirty, and in poor repair with a towel lying on the floor behind the toilet for some reason. If we hadn't arrived so late I think we would have just considered the $155(!) we paid as a sunk cost and went elsewhere but we were tired enough to stay. No breakfast included but a menu saying we could pay an outrageous price for one if we wanted to. No thanks. The only positive, it is close to Hopewell Rocks which is where we wanted to go.

Very friendly staff, lovely experience seeing the humming birds feeding outside the restaurant.

Disgusting, damp, dirty, smelly carpet throughout the room. Mildewed sheets and towels. Room had a very odd smell. I realized the carpet was damp when I walked on it in my socks. An awful experience.

No air condition bathroom was very outdated toilet leaking musty smell poor tv Chanel and poor internet

Staff are very nice however our stay was not so comfortable it was too hot and their ceiling fan is not helping. Sheets smells. But over all not too bad

I was looking for a pet friendly hotel in hopewell cape. I ended up renting a one bedroom cottage at the Fundy Rocks hotel. It was clean and had everything I needed. There is a restaurant and my favourite dish was the lobster roll! Although there is also a pool, I didn’t go in it but other guests took advantage of it. The hotel is a 10 minute drive to Hopewell Rocks which was the main reason I was in the area.

Is a decent little spot if you're driving through and looking for a place to sleep a night. No a/c in the room, which made sleeping uncomfortable in 30 degree weather plus humidity. Another uncomfortable side affect of this, is that everything in the room felt super moist, and the bathroom floor was always wet. Oh, and i spent $50 on the dining room on breakfast for 2 people that was only so- so.

This was by far the worst place I have ever stayed at, and that's saying something. Room 25 smells so strong of dog pee and product to try and hide the dog pee that we couldn't even stay in the room, we slept in the car. The room had dead bugs in it and an infestation of red ants outside. I definitely wouldn't call the room clean. The receptionist was nice though and they appear to be trying to renovate.

Well kept neat and very friendly

Because of the terrible high humidity bathroom floor especially slippery!! No fans in the rooms . Towels smelt awful. No air conditioning! Wifi was off and on . Nice to be close to the Hopewell Rocks .Staff pleasant.
