Fundy Rocks Motel and Chocolate River Cottages

The only positive thing I can say is that the linens were clean. The door was stuck so we had to kick it open, I opted to not shower because the bathroom was in such poor shape and the furniture in the “sitting” area was very uncomfortable. The coffee machine had been left on for so long that it had burnt coffee crusted on the bottom and it was still on. I would never recommend this place to anyone. It is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in all my years of travelling.

We were contacted about an hour before we arrived by the motel office that the key would be in our room and the door unlocked. This was very much appreciated, since we couldn't make it before the office closed. There was no air conditioning and a very noisy ceiling fan that did little to relieve the humidity and the heat. The only window was at the front of the room and to get any breeze the curtains had to be left open, which provided full view of the room. We removed two crickets from the room before bed; the bathroom had peeling paint and the tub was very slippery; the beds were not comfortable; the decor was mismatched and very outdated. For what we were paying for the room it was very disappointing.

Location of this place is amazing. Cleanliness of the room was very bad. There were so many spider webs and spiders every where in the room. Full of mosquitoes in the room. Luckily I had a mosquito spray which I used to spray in the room. There was a peculiar smell from the sheets. I went and complained at the front desk and a gentleman replied that he will get the spider webs cleaned and he also stated that we have lot of mosquitoes this year.

Great location for Hopewell Rocks visits. Property is older and needs maintenance- no A/C which might not matter much if the year but we sure wanted it during our stay. Staff helpful with a scheduling problem

Extremely friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Nice room.

What a dump. First we had to run from the car to the room to avoid the swarms of mosquitoes. The room was dirty and old. Hair still in the shower, mosquitoes in the room as well as squished on the walls. This place is a dive. Worst motel I have ever stayed in.

The people were nice but the property is really showing it’s age.

The place was realy quiet no noise the only probleme we add we waited 2h beford having are food but in all we loved it
