Beautiful country house inside a botanical garden. The whole place looks like paradise. Perfect for countryside vacation. Car is essential for this rental

The small cottage has everything you need, it is out of traffic and the area is breathtaking! You can easily get here on the local bus, you don't need to hire a car!

What a lovely place! A paradise on earth....little cottage in the middle of nature and very close to Funchal...only 17 minutes drive. Handmade bread was waiting us when mw arrived.

I think at sime point we needed a microwave but we managed with the stove

We spent a wonderful week at Alhinho Cottage. Our stay was delightful—romantic, private, and cozy. The cottage has everything you need, from kitchen supplies to a heater. Lighting the fireplace became part of our daily routine, which made the experience even more special. We also really enjoyed meeting the peacocks and the sweet dog. To sum up, I couldn’t recommend this exceptional place more. Best wishes to Sofia!

We loved every minute of our stay at Valle Paraizo! The place is like a small piece of paradise with magnificent gardens and a levada that starts right outside the house. As a lovely bonus, we had peacocks visiting us every day :) The house itself was clean and was equipped with everything we needed, and we loved the homemade bread Sofia left us as a welcome gift. Location is good as the island is small and it is a short drive to everywhere interesting to explore. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking meals. The bedrooms were warm, and the beds were super comfortable. The breakfast arrangement is excellent as well. You put an order for 2 days and receive a basket full of groceries to cook for your family. Sofia brings fresh bread every day. I really don't have enough words to recommend this place. We LOVED it and lovely Madeira..

Lovely cottage for couples... very cosy.

The twin beds stay is not really suitable for couples. I was very uncomfortable as I like to sleep close to my partner. Would have been perfect if there was a double bed instead of two single beds pushed together. Ideal if you like to sleep slightly separately though...

Perfect little cottage in lovely estate. Peacocks visited each morning. Great location for getting around the island and all the walks we wanted to do.
