Valle Paraizo

A very beautiful location set in a huge orchard / garden area. One levada goes directly through the property. Friendly peacocks greet you in the mornings :) The kitchen/living area is well equipped.

Perhaps some more storage cupboards and dressers would be nice, there aren't enough for a family of four.

everything was perfect

We stayed in the Levadinha cottage and we loved this place! Our cottage had a single bedroom and a fully equipped kitchen, incl. oven and espresso capsule machine. We also used the dehumidifier in the living room, but there was only so much it could do. Cleaning was done every other day. No washing machine, but laundry service offered by the host. The entire valley was quiet and peaceful, there are gardens around the cottages and it was great to relax there on a sunbed and watch the stars at night. Several cats and peacocks tend to visit. Also, we felt the location was great for trips around the island. The property has an easy access road (by Madeiran standards) and in Camacha, the road connects to new tunnels and the highway around the island. Overall, very convenient for beginner drivers like us. Finally, I liked the levada that crossed the property. It is not one of the busy ones, so we never saw any crowds. But if you follow it to the right, it will take you to Camacha in 15 minutes (good for shopping or dinner on foot). In the other direction, it would take you to the football stadium of the islands's top team, which I thought was cool.

The knifes where dull, please sharpen them 😅

Fabulous little cottage with modern kitchen and bathroom. Very easy to access from the airport and direct bus into Funchal. Loved our stay here!
