"A comfortable stay with easy access to Dorchester and Hardy country."

7.0

Good sized bedroom and bathroom. Nice to have fresh water and milk in the room.

Hot water took ages to come through at the sink!

"Excellent, recommend to anyone."

10.0

We had a truly wonderful stay and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and comfortable. The accommodation was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The host was incredibly kind, responsive, and thoughtful, making sure every detail was taken care of. The location was perfect, offering both convenience and a peaceful atmosphere. We especially appreciated the little touches that made us feel right at home. This stay created some lovely memories for us, and we are grateful for the hospitality we received. We would happily return in the future and highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable, enjoyable, and memorable getaway.

Nothing to fault.

"Great venue for a short stay. The Royal Oak pub over the road serves excellent evening meals."

8.0

There was ample parking in the courtyard and Fig Room was attractively furnished with good tea and coffee facilities. There was a small fridge in the room for fresh milk. This also came in handy to store our breakfast items, as there is no breakfast available for this accommodation. Sadly, the pub over the road, although excellent for dinner, does not yet serve breakfast, but we were able to buy croissants and yogurt at the Londis, in Milton Road, a short walk away. I had been in contact with Teresa to let her know our arrival time in advance. We did not actually get to meet our host, but this wasn't a problem as code details for the key safe for the front door were provided before our arrival and we needed to change quickly to make our reservation at the Royal Oak pub for dinner. The bathroom was clean and spacious. There is a very attractive, shared lounge area downstairs, with books and games, that would be ideal to meet up with other guests booking the loft room at the same time. The following day we had tickets for the Teddy Rocks Festival at Charisworth Farm, which was a short drive away. Milborne St. Andrew is close to the A35 with easy links to Bournemouth/Poole and Dorchester.

The bedroom was a little chilly in the evening, as it doesn't get much direct sun as the bedroom window is quite small and low down. However, the luxurious quilted velvet bedspread meant we were warm and snug in bed, which was very comfortable. As both my husband and I are six feet tall, we had to be careful when making tea and coffee, as the ceilings are sloped on this side of the room. It would have been nice to have access to an oil filled radiator or similar, as the central heating was not on when we returned from our evening meal, but it had been quite hot the weeks before. It was late so we did not want to disturb our host to enquire. The only other thing I would have liked would have been a bath mat in the bathroom, as I didn't want to make the pretty rug in the bathroom damp after showering. This may have been available in the baskets at the top of the stairs but we didn't investigate and didn't want to interrupt the privacy of our host for just that. Clear instructions on how to use the shower mixer valve would also be appreciated, as we are used to an electric one and the controls were a little stiff to operate. Both of us wear glasses which we have to remove to shower.

"Convenient location but general disconfort with many aspects."

4.0

Location for the continuation of our trip. Size of the loft. The availability of a kitchen.

No hand towels. No kitchen towels. Instant Coffee. Very steep stairs. Minimum quantity of toilet paper. Impossible to have warm water in the shower (only very hot!). No hand soap in the bathroom. Doubtful cleanliness in the kitchen. Clogged sink the bathroom.

"Convenient location"

8.0

Convenient location for the event we were going to at the pub opposite. The loft had all we needed for the short visit

There was no-one there to greet us, and we weren't given the code , so was kept waiting 40 minutes to get into the property
