Las Villas Hotel & Golf By Estrella del Mar

The property is beautiful, I came off season and had the entire pool to myself on 2 separate occasions. Great place to stay if you don’t care to go to the city, it is somewhat a nuisance to go back and forth without a car. Good onsite is expensive and not very good.

we happened to pick the weekend where it was cold and windy, so that hampered things a little. but there is no doubt that the place is amazing. our room was amazing.

We visited the property with our soon to be daughter in law as a potential option for the wedding. The property was very nice, the suite we had was very nice, The sevice at the hotel was unfortunately very poor. At checkin we arrived early so we asked to check our bags and we would wait by the pool for our room to be ready. The guy at the front desk had us sign for three towels. We went to use the common restroom right by the front desk to change into shorts and swimwear, when we returned the towels were gone and he tried to charge us for more towels. Clearly we didn’t take them as they had our bags and we were only in the bathroom. we had brunch at the onsite restaurant next to the pool. The food took over an hour and was cold when it arrived. That might we decided to just order room service since sitting in an empty restaurant didn’t seem fun. It took an hour for the food to arrive, the pizza was ice cold, the sandwich and fries were cold and soggy. The next morning we had breakfast at the golf course restaurant. It took 30 minutes to get coffee and they forgot the cream. By the time they brought the cream the coffee was cold. I finally spoke to a guy in a jacket that seemed to be in charge after waiting 40 minutes for our food…just as my smoothie arrived. 40 min for a smoothie? It took another 20 min for our food to arrive. so an hour wait for breakfast. The building is beautiful, the service was terrible.

Pretty fountains. Staff very pleasant

Dinner in restaurant was inedible but staff were very pleasant about it. Room was clean and bed comfortable. More staff than guests in hotel. Wouldn’t stay again. Beach very windy and exposed.

I like how quite and clean the hotel is and how safe you feel in the property. The only down side is that is far away from the city but if you want a quite place this is your hotel.

Good service

My husband said “its the hotel I have ever stayed in!” Personally, I don’t like to be away from home or in bed which is not my own; but this place was truly fabulous! From start to finish… everything was grand and amazing!

Quiet space, private beach

This property was absolutely beautiful and landscaped really nicely. The beach was amazing and quiet. The room was clean and the view from the balcony was stunning. Definitely coming back!

Ver sad and very lonely .the distance for the city is very long and nothing to get fun .inly has to 2 restaurants open and no stores around and not very safe for swimming .i see more workers and no people around visiting.and the food very expensive and not good.
