Suburban Studios Cedar Falls

The room was dirty. Sticky spots on the bathroom floor. Lamp shades were deteriorating and falling apart, there were candy pieces from previous guests on the floor that had not been vacuumed up, and there was a stinky smell in the room and especially in the hallway.

Lots to not like: Heater didn’t function well if at all, not really a blanket on a bed, drain backed up in shower, poor water pressure, dirty stained carpet(no bare feet!!), cracked basin in bathroom, off smell throughout the property.

Lots of red flags at check in but we still gave it a chance. Went to the room—it was grimy. Walls and carpet were filthy; pulled back sheets a bit and they have lint fuzz. Ultimately decided to go elsewhere. There seem to be full-time, subsidized residents.

Trust me, do not stay here!!! From somebody who stays in hotels all the time this was the worst and I mean the worst place ever to stay. I gave the corporate team a week to make it right and no one has reached out to me. From feces on the back of the toilet to the employees smoking outback and the smell of smoke pulling through the Heating/Air units Directly into the room .. Then to top it off, to have the weed smokers staying in the rooms around my team of employees that were going to stay there, we were forced to move to different hotel location down the road that was 180° turnaround in an experience for about the same money. They acknowledge the issues and told me they took care of the issues, but refused a refund locally and said I would have to take it up with the corporate office who has not contacted me.

Great check in agent. Friendly courteous and efficient.
