St. Giles Apartment

The 3 bed apt which we stayed in was opposite St Giles Cathedral and Parliament Square. A great location - central to all that Edinburgh has to offer along with a wonderful view of the Cathedral and square. Comfy beds and good sized rooms, would highly recommend.

We booked during Scotland's recent big storm & almost couldn't make it to the hotel due to snow drifts. The staff were very helpful during a very stressful time for us! Thanks again!

This hotel is actually a collection of apartments in Edinburgh managed by the Apartments Edinburgh, the apartment I booked was a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment, it had a master bedroom with an attached bathroom, and an other bedroom with a separate bathroom, a separate living room with couches, tv, coffee table, a small dining table with four chairs, as well as a full size fridge and freezer, microwave, dishwasher and cooking range. Also a washer and dryer is included. The apartment is very spacious and clean and essentially is a luxury apartment. in addition to all the amenities in the apartment, they have stocked it with plates, cutlery, glasses, mugs, tea/coffee, and a kettle. Like a hotel, the apartment is stocked with towels, soaps and shampoos. They even put mints on the pillows before you arrive. The apartment I booked was really clean and well maintained, all the appliances seemed to be brand new, or like new. For the per night price I paid, it felt like a steal. The reception office is located on High Street/the Royal Mile, about 11 minutes walking to Edinburgh Castle, and 14 minutes walking to Holyrood Palace. The apartment I had was pretty much adjacent to the reception office, separated by a shop or two. The one drawback I encountered is that they do not have a 24/7 reception, so if you arrive after the reception office closes, you have to arrange to pick-up the keys from a coded dropbox, which can be challenging.

My group of 5 stayed at St Giles overnight and were thrilled to be in the heart of old town Edinburgh, close to the highlights for our short stay. St Giles' check in was easy and reasonably quick with a staff member (Michael) showing us our apart-hotel and reiterating that we could leave our luggage in their office if we wanted to explore town after check out. The 3-bedroom was well heated for February, had a lovely big kitchen (with coffee, tea, milk, and sugar pre-stocked), and comfortable living room with helpful guides. The rooms were well sized and had great views of St Giles cathedral. The two bathrooms were spacious, though we didn't get through all five showers in the morning without the hot water depleting by the end of the third one (which it would in most homes). This is one apart-hotel I'm planning to save for my next visit and will be recommending to friends and family. Thanks for a great place to stay during our two days in Edinburgh!

This was a great two bedroom apartment, located less than a minute from the Royal Mile. The apartment was much larger than we were expecting, comprising of two double bedrooms (one en-suite), separate bathroom, lounge, fully equipped kitchen (fridge freezer, cooker, washing machine, microwave oven) and dining room. We got a lot of space for the price paid, which was the equivalent of a reasonable hotel room. This isn't a holiday let, it was a fully furnished two bedroom flat. We travelled with our seven year old son, so was looking for something where we could relax after he had gone to bed - not easy to do if you are all stopping in the same hotel room. The apartment was perfect for this. It was clean and tidy, with crisp sheets and clean towels provided. It only took around 10 minutes to walk to from Waverley railway station to the office where we were greeted with friendly and helpful staff. There we were then given really clear instructions on how to get the apartment building, which is located down one of the little alleyways off the Royal Mile. This was a perfect location for exploring all of the attractions in the old town. Less than 10 minutes walk up to the castle, and around 15 minutes down to the bottom to the Scottish Parliament and Dynamic Earth attraction. This apartment was great value for money, and there is enough room for a family or two couples to share. Highly recommended, would definitely consider booking this again if visiting Edinburgh again.

check in was straightforward and I was given lots of information to help find the property and local amenities. staff were helpful and friendly. The apartment was spacious, clean, very comfortable and warm. Wifi was easy to connect and all appliances/electronics seemed quite new. Kitchen was clean and fresh, with various cups, glasses, plates and cutlery. Spacious fridge freezer (we thought an ice tray or compartment might have been a nice touch?) Bathroom is a lovely size, with a large (double?) shower cubicle. Bedrooms spacious, with ample storage for clothes. Towels provided and lovely bedding/furniture. (hairdryer and blankets were supplied in the room cupboards). Living room sofas were v comfortable and a great size. Expected a teeny crammed in apartment like so many in cities, but got a spacious, cosy, well located comfortable home from home.

This was perfect for us, we were a party of five plus a baby and the location was great. Plenty of easy attractions and amenities, would definitely stay here again.

Great location right on the royal mile (although was some noise at night every now and then) clean and modern and big kitchen and comfy lounge. Staircase up to apartments needed lights replacing we had to use torches and only one of the three bedrooms had a mirror in it!! This was an issue as we had six women sharing one mirror! Needs to be addressed. Overall good value

Fabulous huge 3 bed 2 bath delux apartment with views of Princes Street.. most comfortable bed I’ve slept in.. perfect location on Royal Mile

Clean well equipped large appt. Note : lots of steps up 4 floors no lift. Excellent location to all attractions & walking distance from station 6mins.
