Close House

Fantastic two night stay. Breakfast great, evening meal you need to choose carefully was disappointed with fish & chips and the mushroom stroganoff. Service was brilliant, staff friendly and polite. Room best I’ve stayed in for a long time, we will definitely return.

This was not our first time staying at Close House and it certainly won't be the last. The rooms are located in a separate courtyard building just up from the main building. On this occasion we stayed on the first floor, last time we were on the ground floor. I think the ground floor rooms are a little larger, however the first floor have beautiful beams - both are huge! They're suites not rooms. The decor and detailing are very high end. Breakfast was beautiful. It wasn't a buffet syle as in most other hotels. There was a menu and it was cooked to order. Although we didn't eat lunch or dinner this time we have done many times before. I'm gluten free and have always felt very well looked after. All meals are served in the main building (clubhouse) and have the most beautiful views over the golf course. The golf course is stunning but you don't have to ve a golfer to appreciate it, there are some beautiful walks around the grounds. There is plenty of parking which is included. I would estimate that it's approximately 10 minutes drive to Metro Centre or Newcastle City Centre if you fancy a spot of shopping.

Stayed here a few years ago and it is still a fab place to stay. The rooms are excellent and tastefully furnished. The staff are very friendly and excellent and the food fab in both quality and quantity.

Absolutely love Close House! A mixture of modern, elegant, friendly and relaxed. Can't wait to return!

We had room 1 and it was lovely we would like to return. Unfortunately no golf was played as there was a competition on so only down side.

Roma are large with amazing bathrooms. Food in the restaurant was lovely and location is quiet

Lovely big rooms and superb bathrooms. However our first room had a dirty duvet cover when we got in the room. We were moved by the reception staff to a huge room which was beautiful
