Best boutique hotel I have ever stayed in. The room is as good as a 5* hotel. Staff are really good, Ajit (Operations officer) is an awesome dude. Highly recommended

Het hotel ligt op een tweetal km van het strand, zeer rustig en groen gelegen in een zijstraatje, weg van de drukte van het strand. Het gerestaureerde huis straalt stijl en elegantie uit, iets wat we nergens anders zijn tegengekomen in Goa. Het is een kleine oase van rust, de kamers zijn prachtig ingericht en ruim. Er is een gezellig klein zwembad in de patio en een klein restaurant en bar, ideaal om te onthaasten.

Very nice hotel, convieniantly located for exploring Northern Goa.The hotel could really do with some tlc. It is getting a bit scruffy. The staff were very friendly and helpful, but we were dissapointed with the general appearance and cleanliness.

As per previous reviewsI can assure anyone looking for a great individualistic hotel this is the one in north Goa! Quiet tranquil & easy going, the surroundings; the building; the staff; the food; the music all adds to the chill out feel!! 10/10 will def come back to the Sol. We were here for both business in Calangute & pleasure. The cab ride is approx 45-1 hr during the day. Calangute is approx a 10 min ride. Great location,

I only heard about The Sol, a restored colonial Portugese villa in North Goa, in passing and it lives up to the photos on its website; it was beautifully maintained and absolutely peaceful. The rooms were excellent - well-furnished and cool, and the amenities were above par by small hotel-standards. The staff were extremely helpful, and went out of their way to assist us (despite their efforts, the 'relaxed' approach that often characterises the Indian service industry was apparent, and often we had to make repeat requests for the same thing - regardless, the staff were well-intentioned and never reluctant to help). The food in the small restaurant was also delicious (although a little on the spicy side as expected) and of a local and pan-Asian variety, with plenty of seafood to choose from. Although only 5-10 minutes to Candolim beach by taxi, some visitors might find the hotel a little remote. It suited us to stay in the hotel as the surroundings were so lovely, and only went to the beach on one occasion. The one downside to relaxing poolside, which is very small, is that there were no sun loungers so we didn't have the option of reclining in the sun and be in the pool itself to catch any rays. Regardless, it was a delightful holiday and we were very comfortable and well looked-after. I would recommend the hotel highly to anyone looking for a tranquil getaway in Goa.

Amazing place, good view surrounding the hotel, away from the bustle of the beaches, center point, close to all the happening beaches, very friendly staff. They can definitely improve on the breakfast buffet spread!

We checked in at 100 AM which was way past our expected check-in time. Even that late at night, the wait from the check in desk to our room was minimal. Our bags were taken to the suite and we were surprised that everything was exactly like the pictures on their site. The suite was huge, clean, and we couldn't point out anything wrong with it. Our suite was always cleaned promptly as we left even if it was 5-6 times a day. Our mini bar broke and tech was sent instantly to look into the matter. He could not fix it so they replaced it with in minutes. Hotel was in good location to the beaches. They were just a 5 min drive away but certainly not walking distance. The location gives you the peace and serenity but also the taste of locals which is just minutes away. We were extremely pleased with our stay at The Sol.

if your looking for some peaceful time with that special one. this is the place for you. great get away place over a weekend to de-stress yourself from the usual city life. candolim beach is 5 mins bike ride away which is handy. overall very nicely maintain property, done with some good taste in architecture .
