Seventy-four Ranch

The property was very nice if you were looking for 1800 style it was great. The rooms are very clean and fun made you feel like you went back in a little bit of history.. The owner was wonderful. She told us the history of the property which was very interesting and she was was very friendly. The breakfast was wonderful and we would definitely go back again

Beautiful views, great customer service and delicious homemade breakfast. Lovely every single time! It is such an amazing historical place and the horses are so fun to watch or even ride. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a fantastic and unique getaway.

Even though it was a slow Monday I was treated with the utmost graciousness and hospititality by Pam and her sister. If you could stay in a 200 year-old farmhouse with history (ask about the Butch Cassidy connection!) and have a wonderful farm-fresh breakfast why would you stay at a generic chain hotel?!

Going to the Seventy-four Ranch is like stepping back to the Old West, only prettier. Awesome place and enchanting tales from the owner. Pam and Jane are fabulous people. We went to this place for a respite, and we got what we wanted, with beauty and charm. Even the horses were friendly. We can't wait to go back with our family and friends.

We discovered the ranch almost by accident as we had a spare day before our flight home to the UK from Nashville, and decided to visit Georgia to tick off another State. We were recommended the Ellijay area, and settled on this as a good area choice and somewhere a little different. It's certainly different! The main house has some accommodation rooms, which share bathrooms, but we chose the overlook suite, which has a private bathroom. The accommodations are amazingly furnished and decorated, and the house is full of history. Pam, the owner was very friendly and gave us a tour of the house and grounds on arrival. The suite was very comfortable and well equipped, and breakfast was great, accompanied Pam telling us some of the history of the house. We wish we could have spent longer. The only drawback for some could be the proximity of the road which can be a little noisy (it didn't bother us as we live by a road anyway!). Also, if you are used to a Holiday Inn/ Best Western etc., you will find this a little different!! All in all a great experience.

My wife and I stayed here for a night for our anniversary. The property is beautiful with a lot of history, and the owner is wonderful. We greatly enjoyed our stay!

Our first visit to the ranch was July 2024. Coming back for a Valentine's getaway is so much different. The main house has a house full of guests. The decor & plant arrangements have changed and are "apropos" to the season. Love the attention to detail & how at home we feel.

Amazing! Greeted by a lovely and friendly hostess, received a free upgrade. The place was cozy, clean and breakfast was delicious and fun with other guests. I hated to leave! I will definitely stay there again!

Amazing experience

Very nice host. She made the experience very comfortable. She accommodated our need for an earlier check in due to an event we had to attend. Loved the history and the beautiful scenery!
