Absolutely beautiful Bed & Breakfast. Pam, the host, was wonderful. She told us about the history of the house and gave us a wonderful tour. Then she left us to wander and get lost on the rich and beautiful land. There are magnolias and other enormous trees that seem to whisper their past to you as you sit quietly on the porch and take it all in. The bedrooms (and rest of the house) have been lovingly renovated with lots of attention to detail. We fell in love with all the antique pieces that have been spread throughout this amazing home. We built a fire and enjoyed it for a few hours with the other people staying here. They were all absolutely incredible to socialize with and we had a blast listening to the animals settling down for the night in the field. Lots of attention to detail and guest comfort have been paid to ensure that your stay feels like a second home here. We will absolutely come back for horseback riding and to stay for a long weekend. You truly feel so at peace on this little slice of heaven.

I was met by Pam, the owner and immediately felt welcomed. She had phoned me earlier in the day to inquire about arrival time and whether I needed directions. I was looking for quiet and solitude and after a tour of the amazing home, I was left alone while the option to mingle with other guests was available. The home is so beautiful and has so much history and things to look at. Television with Netflix was available but not used. Spent the remainder of the day watching the horses and cows out in the field. Horseback riding is available. Breakfast was fantastic, coffee available 24/7 and Pam joined everyone for breakfast to tell the story of the ranch and how it came to be. It’s in the country but quite close to stores and restaurants. This was a one night pit stop as I was heading for camping and hiking. Should I come this way again, I will certainly book the Seventy Four Ranch again. I will recommend this B & B to anyone traveling through northern Georgia. It was a unique and an unforgettable experience. Thank you Pam for the wonderful stay.

While I would recommend this as a fun stay with friends - it's a delightful B&B with a rich history and the owner puts much care into her hospitality - I would strongly recommend against horseback riding unless you are a skilled rider. There is no instruction given, and there aren't any accommodations made to assist beginner-level riders. I hadn't been on a horse in some time and yet our guide discouraged me from wearing a helmet. Thankfully, I did not listen. I did fine and my horse did fine but late in our ride, our guide decided to rope a horse that was approaching our group and he did so without warning. By roping the horse, he spooked two of the horses we were riding on, which set them off in a gallop away from the group. I was completely unprepared for this and eventually fell off of my horse. Thankfully, I was ok. But the guide encouraged me to get back on my horse, which, either due to shock or embarrassment, I did try to get back on and because I am inexperienced, I did so improperly and my horse bucked and spun around until he could throw me off again. As a result, I tore my hamstring and am only just able to lightly jog again after months of rest and PT rehab. This felt like an accident that could have been prevented and I am just so grateful I wasn't trampled during the incident. It took me a few months before I felt ready to share my experience because I was in disbelief that something so scary could happen on a girls' weekend away. But I recognize the importance in sharing my experience - I signed a release prior to riding and I really wish I had paid better attention to what was being offered and asked more questions ahead of our ride.

This wasn't any hotel stay, this was a beautiful experience. Pam the host at this property has gone all out. Staying at the 74 Ranch is an experience that takes you to a different time. The decoration and the attention to detail is sublime, every little detail has been thought of and decorated. The personal touch of the host is everywhere. This was the furthest thing possible from a commercial experience. Oh and did I mention the animals? Thank you Pam for such a lovely and wonderful time.

This is a very unique stay. The setting is beautiful. It is a very old home, built in the early 1800's, so expect old construction and an antique feel. The owner, Pam, runs the place and is very attentive and offers a caring, personal touch. She actually called me directly a few days before our stay to find out if we had any dietary restrictions, which I felt was very thoughtful.

Carefully decorated with cowboy/ Native American theme. Much history and uniqueness that we enjoyed. Comfortable beds. Great hostess.

Wow! What an experience! I would rate this B&B/Ranch as excellent! We signed up for the horse back riding and roping and had a fantastic time on the trail with Levi. We were so exhausted by the end of the day! The good news is that our room (Master) was beautiful, clean and comfortable! The sheets were so soft and the bed was so comfortable!!! We will definitely be back.
