Island Magic Resort Apartments

We had an amazing stay at Island Magic Resort. Our ocean front bungalow was fantastic! So spacious & clean! The snorkelling off the jetty was great, so many gorgeous fish to see. We ate at the on-site restaurant, Birdies & were very impressed. The hosts Caroline & Damien were so welcoming & during our stay ensured we were having a great time & very knowledgeable & helpful to plan our days. Highly recommended 👌

Incredibly friendly and helpful hosts. Beautiful setting for a quiet and relaxing waterfront visit. Fully self-contained bungalows with everything you need. Very fast internet wifi and smart tv. Good layout for a family with bedrooms tucked away and plenty of private indoor and outdoor common area space. We made good use of the BBQ on our veranda! Large shaded grassy area and picnic benches overlooking the ocean in the common area of the resort which is a great spot for kids to play and families to hang out in general. Good ocean swimming off the resort’s pontoon and a short walk to the closest beach. Restaurant on site plus good cafe with coffee and food within walking distance.

No complaints.

Beautiful island feel to the very comfortable bungalows. Smaller quiet resort and being self contained bungalows with a bar and restaurant on site, there are many options for meals.

We had family to take us around, so this is more for others information, not a dislike, just observation. It is a fair way out and transport is limited to either using the local buses, taxi or hire a car.

Apartments were fantastic design.

WiFi was inconsistent.

Quiet and relaxing

Too far from anywhere unless you hire a car. The facilities in the room could do with an update, rusted stove, fridge and ironing board. Wifi was terrible. Restaurant was expensive for very average food.

Delightful and helpful hosts; great having a restaurant on site (average prices) as it was a beautiful spot but perhaps a bit isolated without a car. Jumping off the jetty right by the edge of the reef was fabulous, but unfortunately bad weather meant we could only do this on our last day.

The gravel road was awaiting repairs once the rain cleared up, so it was challenging getting to and from the resort, but the owner dropped us at a restaurant and organised a taxi home for us one night. We ended up hiring a car.

Apartments a big, well equipped and have everything you need. The location is nicely away from the town to be relaxing but not too far. Lots of nice things around there to do/eat/coffee.

So much goodness - but let’s start with the snorkelling. Walk 50 metres from your bungalow and you jump straight into the best snorkelling you’ve ever done. Greens, blues, purples, oranges - it’s better than anything you’ve ever seen. And no need to travel by boat for an hour to get there - it’s 30 seconds from your door. One day I went snorkelling FOUR TIMES. Caroline and Damien went out of their way to make it special. They have incredible resort experience and know how to ensure their guests have a great time. We were best mates by the time we left. They even took us to the Beach Bar where we saw the most incredible fire show we’ve ever seen - I doubt we’ll ever see better. Out of this world. You’re also close to the zip line which we can also recommend. And finally, food in the restaurant was the best food we had in Vanuatu. Rounded out a wonderful stay. Loved it!

It was a dirt road to get to the property which was annoying but would you believe it, they started paving the road the day we left!

Quiet location….surrounded by nature and tropical scenery. Can feed fish from the jetty and see all sorts of tropical breeds.

Too far to walk to any coffee shops or food outlets. Really need a car. Restaurant on site only open Fri/Sat nights…and apparently closing down soon. A strange business move considering there is nowhere else to eat around there. Upon arrival to our cabin I nearly threw up with what I found in the toilet!!! Absolutely disgusting! Had to go buy my own cleaning products just so my kids and I could use the shower/toilet for 5 days! Towels were stained and dirty, torn curtains in bedrooms, ants/bugs everywhere. Kitchen was filthy and utensils/crockery looked like they’d never been washed. Ceiling fans rusty and dirty, made loud screeching noise so couldn’t sleep with it on, also couldn’t sleep with it off due to the humidity and NO air conditioning!! TV didn’t work either-lucky I brought a good book to read when it rained. Didn’t use the kitchen at all…too scared. Don’t know how people rate it so highly…..must be the owners writing their own reviews.

Geraldine and co are amazing hosts. Place won't be the same without them.

Found the toilets needed some TLC. Place wont be the same without a restaurant:(
