Island Magic Resort Apartments

Island Magic is located in a nice and quiet secluded area right on a coral reef. You were able to snorkel from the jetty at the property and it was some of the best snorkelling we did on the whole island. The food at the restaurant was great, the staff were all super friendly and went out of their way to make sure everything was to your liking. The resort itself is probably a 3 star resort with a little bit older facilities. But the value for money for the large rooms you got, to the fantastic location made up for it. I also liked that the Managers support the locals by employing them at the resort, using them as drivers, gardeners etc. Some of the other larger resorts that are foreign owned only employ their own foreign workers, not locals from Vanuatu. The money also doesn't stay in Vanuatu it goes back to their home countries.

The main public road into the resort has a lot of pot holes from the recent wet weather at the moment, it just meant that trips into Port Vila township took a bit longer. But this has nothing to do with the resort itself.

Needs a bit of maintenance

We were staying at Island Magic when the 17 December earthquake struck. The impact meant electricity, running water and gas were not available. Caroline and Damien were incredibly kind and gracious hosts, despite the damage sustained to their business, allowing us to stay longer than planned while we waited for information on how to return home. They provided a generator to allow access to internet via starlink twice a day, so we could connect to family and friends, and receive airline updates. It was a relief to have the beautiful reef to swim in - it was hot without the usual electricity or fans! The snorkelling off the end of the jetty was amazing, with so many beautiful fish and coral. Thank you for a wonderful stay under very trying circumstances. Wishing you all the best as Island Magic gets back on its feet.

Great location, having the reef out the front of our bungalow was also amazing. Staff were wonderful, view from the restaurant was beautiful. Our bungalow was comfortable and had everything we needed. Internet was also very good!

The hosts Damien and Caroline are amazing. Super friendly and nothing was ever an issue. The snorkeling is some of the best in the world, just off the jetty! The bungalows are spacious and equipped with everything you need.

Everything! Food is fantastic, Caroline and Damian are super helpful and great to chat with over a drink. Great snorkelling off the jetty. Super quiet. Rooms are fantastic and have everything you need! Cant recommend Island Magic enough.

Excellent location with unsurpassed natural reef for snorkeling/diving. Excellent hosts enjoyed the evening socialising in the casual dining area.
