Sky was excellent

Great location. Comfortable bed. Quiet room.

Room was too warm and couldn’t turn heating down. Could’ve complained but we were attending a function and had to rush. There were some renovations going on in the foyer which didn’t make for a brilliant welcome but the reception (on the fourth floor) was fine. Otherwise a lovely stay. Would advise you to use Just Park and book parking elsewhere as it’s much cheaper.

Leider beeinträchtigt die Lage und die gerade stattfindenden Sanierungsarbeiten die optische Bewertung. Vor allem wenn man aus den schottischen Highlands kommt aber als Zwischenstopp ausreichend.

Aircon did not work - very warm Fire alarm at 10am for no reason

Stayed only one night but excellent stay

We had a mostly positive experience at the Holiday Inn Derby Riverlights. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were genuinely lovely—friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean and comfortable overall, though the bathrooms could use a little attention, particularly the grout, which appeared brown or dirty in places. Unfortunately, one of our rooms had an issue with the air conditioning. We had chosen the hotel in part because it advertised AC, but despite contacting the front desk, we were told it was motion activated. It never turned on and during the night, and we woke up hot and uncomfortable. Meanwhile, the other room we booked had perfectly functioning AC from the beginning. We would have appreciated more urgency or support in resolving the issue at the time. Overall, the hotel has potential for a great stay with a bit more attention to maintenance and responsiveness.

On arrival was greeted by a lovely lady on reception she was very helpful made me feel very comfortable. Also after the event return back to the hotel & the gentleman on reception in the evening was also very helpful. Room was exceptionally clean & had everything I needed, also had a great night sleep. Breakfast was also exceptionally very good as there was lots to choose from plenty of choice. Would have no hesitation in booking & staying again. Thankyou for a great stay.
