Golden Sands Motor Inn

The property was in a central location and had a huge balcony. The beds were comfortable, we had a microwave and plenty of tea and coffee etc. The room was private and the television reception was excellent. We were allowed late check out which was great considering my son’s illness.

After a long 7 hour drive with a sick son on board the owner/manager Hamish was not overly friendly and seemed a bit stand offish. A smile and a warm greeting would have been nice. I felt that I was a nuisance and he quickly explained everything to me rather patronisingly. I guess he was in a hurry to go home as we were later than expected, I apologised for that several times. Not very friendly!

We wanted to go to Tuncurry .We asked Hamish who was attending reception the best way to get there. He moved his golf clubs from the back seat of his car and drove us over. Well done Hamish you are a legend . To go out of your way to help somebody you dont even know , not to many would do that . Thank you .

Centrally located, spacious room, inexpensive. Great staff (who called us before we were too far away to return) that we’d left an iPad in the room.

The check in was so easy.

Comfortable beds & pillows, fast and efficient service.

No face washers or tea towels. Bit of mould in shower. Restaurants nearby need to updated.
