Western House Hotel At Ayr Racecourse

Great hotel. Room was in the annexe. Large and spacious but thin walls and ceiling so could hear neighbours walking around. Would be 5 stars otherwise

Our room was impressive - excellent views, spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable. Hotel itself was well maintained and staff were friendly and helpful. Food in the restaurant was excellent.

Beautiful hotel and friendly staff. A real warm welcome. Loved all the little bits like slippers, biscuits and the sachets of hot chocolate. Even though we didn't stay in the main building our room was lovely & we looked over the stables. Didn't really want to leave! Definitely will go back.

Hotel was lovely - Friendly staff, good location, clean comfortable room with some nice extra touches like super king bed, bathrobes etc

Breakfast was a bit of a disappointment - chaotic, buffet food wasn’t replenished, dirty dishes lay on tables uncleared . Also would be nice at weekend to have option for breakfast a bit later than pre- 9:30 am - this might also alleviate pressure on staff !

Die Unterkunft lag zentral und trotzdem ruhig. Die Zimmer waren groß und sauber und das Bad super.

Food at the jockey club for dinner was fantastic.

Bedroom was large, as was the bed. It was located in a seperate accommodation block rather than the historic main building.

Breakfast was poor. It ran from 8-10am. We arrived at 9.25 and the hot food had virtually run out. I got the last rasher of bacon. (Lucky me!) There was no black pudding or haggis left. It was replenished about 30 minutes later, but by that time we were ready to leave. Disappointing, as breakfast should have been one of the highlights of the stay,
