Western House Hotel At Ayr Racecourse

Bed, quality of the sheets, no hot water in the bathroom. The staff just doesn't care. We left early and didn't stay all the nights booked because the bed was absolutely awful. The sheets were dirty.

Nice large, clean room.

4 star expected not to have to ask for a biscuit for hospitality tray. Late noise from drunken guests Then early morning noise from diesel truck/ horse box left running and doors slamming at 5 am ! This was in anex I would expect the hotel rooms would be less noisy

At racecourse

Staff, very attentive and genuine. room spacious and comfortable , great shower. Food , spot on.

Very helpful staff, all round the hotel, from check-in to departure. Clean tidy room serviced daily. Breakfast buffet was very good - lot of choice. Dining rooms were very clean. Evening menu was decidedly 'lacking' something. Choicve was very limited & very fish biased. One evening meal disappointed me greatly. Not as described on the menu. However, on discussing it with reception, the matter was fully resolved. Overall, a good stay & I would return to the hotel, but hope that by then the menu might have changed

Only stayed the night,but it was lovely,I went on holiday and they allowed me to park my car there while I was away,would definitely like to go back
