Hotel Plaza Cozumel

The hotel is old. The only thing that looked updated was the bathroom. Tile in the hallways broken in several places. Lift/elevator took forever to move. As super seniors (in our 80’s) we often had to use the stairs to the 1st floor. View from the window was roof and … see photos

The price charged was for a 4 star hotel. The looks and age of the hotel ranged from 2.5 to 3 star hotel. The breakfast which was included was very good. The staff, both hotel and restaurant were nice.

We had an absolutely wonderful 2-day stay at this hotel and it met our expectations. Certainly read the reviews and look at pictures to determine if this is the right place for you, but this was the perfect landing pad for my boyfriend and I traveling from California for the Iron Man in Cozumel. We requested a quiet room as there were some loud clubs in the evening time, but they stopped around 10PM, so it didn't go too late into the night. The service from the front desk was clear, fair and very helpful and we particularly loved breakfast that was offered every morning. In previous reviews it was mentioned that no music in the lobby or not ample seating was provided and we didn't find this to be a problem at all. The lobby and breakfast were better than expected and lovely service. It was also mentioned that the pool is not able to be used and we didn't experience that either. The pool on the roof is beautiful with a view of the ocean and gorgeous sunsets. The road was being finished while we were there, but once it dries, it would be super easy to be dropped off right in front of the hotel and there are taxis you can hail 1 block away. The proximity to the port and to a lot of restaurants and the town center was super desirable. My biggest thing is safety and I can say that I felt 100% safe the whole time I was here. Rooms were also very clean and comfortable. This was a really great cheap and cheerful hotel and we will definitely consider coming back if we come back to Cozumel. Great for the value that you pay!

Una gran cantidad de sus habitaciones dan a un bar discoteca llamado green house. Que abre en su mayoría de días hasta las 2am y los fines de semana hasta las 4am. NO PUDE DORMIR. Además apenas sale el sol entra luz por todos lados

Location in town centre and just a short walk to the ferry
