The Aviara is a special place. A great hotel for events, for family get togethers and easy stays. There are a lot of kids. ALOT. It is not quiet - but the families give the hotel a great positive energy. The staff was great, the services were great - and we would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

Great staff, location and property.

Amazing stay in Carlsbad!! One of the best Four Season’s we have ever stayed at. This was our first time doing luxury travel with our two kids and let me just say that this FS set the bar extremely high. They made sure our kiddos and us had a great stay throughout our visit. Jessica and Kaitlyn from the guest experience team went above and beyond. Henry from the bell team was fantastic helping us get settled when we checked in. And everyone at the restaurants and pools were very attentive and personable. The only gotcha with this resort is it is a residence property, so it’s a bit spread out and a different vacation experience being in what feels like someone’s unit. With the kids it was great having a kitchen and more room to run around, so we didn’t mind one bit. Just might not be what you expect if you’re used to other FS properties.

You know when you love a place so much that you almost want to keep it a secret? This is one of those!! Location, suites, cleanliness, amenities, attention to detail, and above all, a team that’s laser-focused on making the guest experience stellar. Jessica and Caitlyn consistently checked on us, and had our room decorated with balloons and a banner and fresh flowers to celebrate an occasion my husband had shared with them. Noah and Henry took SUCH good care of us each day, stocking our car with beach chairs, towels, an umbrella and beach toys and games for the kids - while sharing their fave beaches and food spots! Truly amazing attitudes. Housekeeping and room service as well as the pool team all went above and beyond as well. We were greeted with kid size bathrobes, little stuffed sea lions and the toiletries are dyptique! We were in an upper suite with a washer dryer full kitchen and an adjoining bedroom in the 14 block and it couldn’t have been more perfect. We could walk to the Park Hyatt for a drink or dinner as well but we were so happy we chose the 4 seasons as it was so calm and serene. We can’t wait to go back. We did 6 nights and it was perfect - we could do Legoland, different beaches, hikes, the pools and good casual meals while feeling relaxed! Will absolutely be back and highly highly recommend!!

We recently did a staycation to celebrate our engagement and the stay was absolutely amazing! Sophia the marketing and public relations manager assisted me with making my reservation due to me having a certificate and she was so kind and professional! Her assistance and follow up made me excited for the stay. Once we arrived Sara checked us in and she was also wonderful. She took the time to go over the resort information and even gave us a tour of the lobby and we appreciated this! Kaitlyn the front desk manager even came out and congratulated us on our engagement which was a very nice touch. Both of there warm welcome made us feel very special and one we won’t forget. When we got to the room it was decorated to celebrate our engagement and we were speechless. It was the cherry on top! We had dinner at seasons and it was absolutely amazing! Recently when we have splurged on nice dinners we always leave disappointed, but here we left satisfied and wanting to go back. Eddie was our server and was wonderful. I ordered a mocktail and my fiancé ordered a cocktail and they were missing an ingredient for my mocktail but suggested an alternative that I agreed with. I thought it was absolutely amazing that Matthew the mixologist came over to inquire how the drinks tasted and talked to us about the drinks. Very excellent service. Thank you for an amazing stay and one we won’t forget! We can’t wait to be back!

Jessica and her team made our 26th anniversary truly memorable. The hotel provided the perfect blend of rest and relaxation, allowing us to explore the beautiful beach town of Carlsbad before returning to a spacious room. We deeply appreciate the Four Seasons team for maintaining an immaculate hotel and for their exceptionally friendly staff.

We just returned from a week at Four Seasons Aviara. It was one of the nicest, most relaxing places we’ve ever stayed. We’ve stayed all around the area from San Diego to La Jolla to Del Mar and this is far and away the best. The apartment was pristine, spacious and beautiful. The service was impeccable from housekeeping to pool attendants to the front desk and valet who supply the beach gear. Everything was done right and everything seems to, amazingly, work right, here. The management is doing a great job. Our food which we ordered poolside was fantastic, fresh and tasty , too. We loved borrowing chairs, umbrella and beach towels from the main building and we enjoyed all the beaches we visited especially La Jolla Shores and Moonlight Beach. This property is a winner and you will enjoy a quiet relaxing stay if you come here. Lastly I don’t think there are any bad units. We had a second floor unit and liked the three balconies we had with a view of the ocean way in the distance. But a first floor unit would likely be very nice too. The view seems much the same from most plus or minus a pool view here and there.
