Days Inn by Wyndham Watford Gap

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The experience was so far detached from the busy motorway outside. The hotel is warm, nicely decorated comfortable all the amenities and a genuine receptionist. The welcome reminded me of stays of the beaten track and good old fashioned hospitality overseas (Australia.) It has made us think we could stay at Days Inn on the motorway in the future instead of town.

There was a stench of urine in the room.

Hotel is fit for purpose if nothing special is expected. Beware, access to the hotel from the M1 Northbound is through the service gate at the back of the lorry car park. Ring the bell and they will open the gate allowing you to cross the motorway. Satnav won't know and as a result, you can also access via the A5, look for the Service Gate just alongside the bridge.

For the most part everything was great! Out of the way from the F1 meaning everything wasn’t too congested when we travelled back and forth. Lovely short cut shown by the staff. Only disappointment was the lack of working plugs in the room!

Staff where very welcoming and helpful for our stay with good information on area and how to get to places. Room was clean and tidy although some of the fixtures where looking tired. Overall it was good for a overnight stop.

The staff who checked us in and were there for the duration of our stay were absolutely lovely! They really made us feel at home. Room was pleasant and spacious, bed was comfy and the bathroom was very clean. Nothing to complain about! We stayed here en route to a concert at CBS Arena in Coventry which was only a 30min drive away so ideal for when travelling up to a concert.

On arrival the friendly receptionist not only helped us she was absolutely fantastic and so kind understanding and generous giving my daughter some sweets to entertain her and really talked with us. Advised us on locations and talked of different subjects. The stay was brilliant the night reception was lovely and kind on speaking with my husband. The stay was lovely clean spacious quiet despite location it was very quiet, the cleaning staff was understanding on my daughters mini accident and we tried to leave the room tidy for them also. On leaving the friendly reception was lovely also and very kind :) I totally recommend this as your stay for whatever your needs. Please note upon the telephone line it’s card only but other than that it’s a wonderful place to stay whether it be for work to catch some of them special Zs or a quick stay for friends family etc. very accommodating with our baby and myself being pregnant also, Great place and cannot recommend enough and I cannot sing their praises enough honestly best we have ever been to

Fine establishment. Very clean, comfy bed decent shower. Hotel overall was a bit tired but they were doing actual maintenance to improve it. Its spot on for a motorway hotel would happily stay there again. Staff are very friendly and helpful hats off to them.
