Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Pierre, SD

The hotel is right next to the railroad tracks. A train went through at 3 am with horns blowing.

The doors were in rough shape and some parts of the bathroom, but overall a good option. Beds were clean, updated rooms.

Bed was comfortable

Shower and toilet area was dirty

Very clean. It appears that a few floors are under construction for renovation. I had a king suite, was very surprised that it had a new massage chair in the room too.

Someone did a hit & run while I was staying there. Did pretty decent damage to my back hatch and tail lights.

When we got there to check in at 11:30pm with a tired 3 year old, we had to call a number to get service to check in. Don’t get me wrong. That’s how it is some places but it took a while for the person to come to the desk. We got to the room, settled in, and got to sleep. The heaters were noisy and the sheets fell off the bed so many times we just gave up keeping them on. Breakfast time came and I got some cereal for my daughter and our own breakfast and as we were going to our room the service guy stopped us and said we weren’t allowed to bring food to the room and if they had seen any breakfast garbage we would be charged $100!?! Excuse me??? Since when is breakfast not allowed in our own room?? So we’d be allowed to get pizza or order food to our room and have that food in there but no breakfast?? Doesn’t make any sense. No signs up or anything and when my husband mentioned maybe having a sign, he went and printed on and put it up, left the breakfast area and then we proceeded to watch 3 other guests gather breakfast plates and leave to their rooms. It was just really confusing and a weird stay. We ended up leaving earlier than planned and don’t intent on staying again.
