"Appaling service for funeral !!"

Was at the funeral of a dear friend today and it was an absolute shambles!! Cakes and one plate of sandwiches on table , cakes were melting in the heat. Then tea and coffee arrived. After we'd finished those the soup arrived, it was cold! Then sausage rolls about 5 minutes later.... I would have expected a hotel of long standing to be able to serve people at the appropriate time. Especially when you hear what they charge. Disgusting and no apology, felt really sorry for the family of the deceased!!

the breakfast was excellent and there was a good choice, cooked fresh. The buffet choice was a little limited, but adequate for our needs. Parking behind the hotel is a great bone and a good number of spaces available. Room was very comfortable and quiet. We stayed in the newer part of the hotel. excellent location for walking down to the esplanade and the port area. we found a little leaflet in the room about visiting 24 churches in the town, this was a great little way of exploring the town and seeing it from east to west. Think we walked about 8 miles in total. Really interesting to find out about the history of the churches and we aren't even really 'churchy' people. It was just a great walk. Drinks seemed reasonably priced. We didn't eat in at night, just because we were meeting friends, but I would assume the evening meals were the same quality as the breakfasts.

If I'm honest I thought the hotel was a bit pricey, but sometimes you have to pay a bit more to have a better stay and I have no complaints about anything at all during the stay.
