Ash Grove Boutique Motel

I booked this Motel as we needed a family room for our large boys and I wanted a pool. It's a little out of Paihia and the only walkable food outlet was closed for New Years. Because it's out of Paihia it's very quiet and it's a lovely country setting. The rooms are big and very clean. The pool was warm and I loved that the owners are thinking Eco in that there's no little single use soaps and shampoo and even the milk comes in a little reusable glass bottle. We've stayed in a lot of NZ motels this year and these accommodations are really well thought out.

Property is good and good area . We were trevaling for playing golf This property is centre of the golf clubs in northland area. So we could go easily golf clubs.

It was a lovely place and we probably had the best room at the end of the small block (additional windows to the side). The pool area was very good, although we didn’t get the opportunity to try out the pool during our short stay. Although not a problem for us or anyone using their car, it is not really walking distance from Paihia. However on the plus side it is very close to a small convenience and fish and chip shop, as well as Haruru Falls.

Stayed overnight price for a family unit was $200 but exceptionally worth it. This unit had all the utensils and cutlery tea and milk just exactly like an ordinary home with all your necessary toiletry items provided. Definitely recommended accommodation

The room was comfortable, clean and spacious. Lovely and peaceful garden and we could take our meals just outside our room. Owners were very kind, helpful and thoughtful. Motel was just a few minutes away from the heart of Paihia, with supermarket and gas station located down the road, so it was very convenient. Would highly recommend this place!

We live this place. It's really 4 star hotel (called motel in NZ). The hotel honor is very good person. We arrived late and they allowed us to check in even office was already closed. The room was super clean and comfortable. Beautiful garden with nice pool. I'm Highly recommending this place!

We stayed here for four nights - the room is clean, fresh and has been recently updated - just beautiful. The motel is set in a spacious garden-like setting with a swimming pool and bbq easily accessible from all areas of the motel. We woke each morning to the sun shining and a tui singing in the tree outside our window. Grange and Bronwyn are if not the perfect hosts then as close to perfect as they can be - a warm welcome on arrival and quickly checking to see if everything was to our satisfaction. They have recommendations of where to visit in this beautiful part of New Zealand and the recommendations were spot on. We visited Haruru Falls, Rainbow Falls in Kerikeri, Urupukapuka Island and can't recommend the area highly enough. We will certainly recommend Grange and Browyn and their lovely property to anyone who mentions they are visitng the winterless north of NZ. Stephanie & Brian

Just spent two days at this lovely motel, couldn’t ask for anything better just a short drive out of Paihia , we were surrounded by luscious gardens with a great pool my only wish was that the weather had been a little warmer so that we could of utilised the pool area more ,I must say there is nothing better than to have crisp fresh sheets on the bed , the rooms were spotless and very welcoming ,our host Bronwyn was very helpful in what to see as we only had a short stay , definitely would recommend this to anyone that is going to visit the bay of islands , thank you Bronwyn for your hospitality hopefully we will get to meet your husband next time we will try and get back sooner than later .
