Hotel Tarnava

Single room is small and has smelly bathroom. Water boiler is not clean and have residue in it. Check in time must be before 9pm which is stressful if you are coming from Bucharest. Service could improve. But for the price of this hotel is affordable.

Wonderful service and comfortable and affordable place to stay in walking distances of the forts.

Good location, very close to Tsavarets fortress. The receptionist was very friendly and helped me to reduce the level of heating in the room. The room was large and represented good value for money.

The hotel is well located, just a 5 minute walk away from the old fortress, and a 10-15 minute walk from the centre of modern Veliko Tarnovo, meaning its well positioned for a number of bars and restaurants. The room was large, with a nice balcony enabling us to soak up some evening sun before dinner. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, and provided us with all the facilities we needed for our stay in Veliko Tarnovo. It is excellent value for money.

Location was good. Room was spacious. But I cannot recommend this hotel because of the cleanliness. I am not a tidy person but I cannot stand the stink from the bathroom. It was serious. Really.I stayed room 101(If my memory is right) so didn't know other room's condition, but if you get this room, ask to change to other room plz. Additionally, I saw the spider and web in the bathroom. Check the room condition before your check in.

A WONDERFUL SMALL FAMILY HOTEL, STAFF VERY HELPFUL NOTHING WAS TOO MUCH TROUBLE FOR THEM,CLEAN COMFY HOTEL IN THE VERY HEART OF VELIKO TARNAVO GOOD ACCESS TO ALL AMENITYS, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, EXCELLENT VALUE FOR YOUR MONEY.

Fantastic value for money and unlike many hotels in BG the air con unit worked, the toilet seat wasn't broken, there was no nasty smells, the light bulbs all worked and there was even a kettle in the room!!! Lovely staff, excellent breakfast and above all, spotlessly clean.

Enjoyed our time at this lovely family style hotel. Room was spacious, with balcony. We had problems with toiletand management tried to fix while we were there and it worked ok after this. No where to hang towels in bathroom, the towel rack fell off wall when I put towel on it so did jotnusemit anymore.
