Hotel Tarnava

This hotel is a very good 2 star hotel. Provided all the services we needed and staff was very friendly and helpful. There was a small charge for a basic breakfast but overall price was very reasonable. It was fully booked while we were there.

offseason visit to Veliko Tarnova, few visitors. The room was comfy and warm, despite the weather. A bit hard to find on foot, but eventually we found it.

My second time in Hotel Tarnava in the same month, did not disappoint- how novel and reassuring when in travel mode and far away from home. I highly recommend this hotel for several good reasons : the convenience of an excellent location in the atmospheric, old town; within minutes of shops restaurants, business venues and sightseeing attractions (Tsarevets Castle is an enjoyable five minutes stroll down the road); the consistent quality of attentive assistance from friendly staff, many of whom speak fluent English; the charm and intimacy of well decorated, comfortable rooms in a listed building brimming with a sense of history;with breathtaking views of the Yantra river valley below and the picturesque city clinging to the hills; best of all is the super! value for money, which rivals hostel prices for private ensuite rooms.Your travel budget will smile and dance a jig re discovery of an accommodation treasure. Suitable for all types of travellers;a safe choice for solo women; and a perfect, romantic setting for the budget-conscious honeymooners and for anniversary celebrations. Business guests will appreciate the functional,pleasing elegance of a clean,well-organised and efficient establishment.The artistically inclined can expect to be inspired by the intriguing ambiance; sensory attractiveness and peacefulness of the premises. Any imperfections are canceled out by a longer list of advantages.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my carefree ; convenient 10-days stay at Hotel Tarnava. It rivals many of the hotels I have stayed at with more stars in other countries! The friendliness ( home away from home comfort level); cleanliness; perfect location in a beautiful, picturesque historic town;peacefulness and of course value for money are its best attributes. I recommend this accommodation sincerely.

A clean ; comfortable, quiet hotel and a perfect base for exploring an ancient city; or for regrouping after travels.; also well tailored for business guests; with high speed internet access in the rooms ;coffee and tea facilities and a mini fridge. There is a conference room / meeting room on the premises. The location in the old town, is convenient. Stepping out in any direction , are breathtaking views; interesting shops; multitudes of atmospheric buildings from various historic eras; including easy access to key attractions. All of the hotel staff are helpful , friendly; and speak English ! An enjoyable hotel experience - and highly recommended.

The staff were so lovely and so helpful. They even let us have our room back after we checked out because we couldn't get on the early bus and had to wait another five hours for the next bus! Breakfast was great. So well priced for a nice hotel in a perfect location! Would definitely recommend :)

Very dirty and cold. No parking spaces and poor breakfast

The only negative was breakfast only happened on one morning, although I didn't make further inquiries, we just went to the shop instead. Oh, and there was a weird thing with the shower curtain, if you went to the toilet it was attacking you! It is at one end of the town, the quieter end and is convenient for tsaravets. The staff were helpful, the room was great, the facilities in the room were great. We would go back.
