Acid test... would I stay there again? YES, definitely. We all had a great experience from the moment we walked down the drive! Caroline and Jonathan were wonderful and made our stay a memorable one. Our rooms were lovely, the atmosphere was great, and the food tremendous. They helped us navigate the area and made great suggestions about places to go and how to get there. It will be a great memory for all of us.

We stayed here for three nights to explore the Lake District. Caroline and Jonathan are excellent hosts. We let slip it was our anniversary and returned that evening to find a red rose petal heart on our neatly made bed. Breakfast is excellent with as much choice as one could wish for. We always look for places with electric charging points: Caroline and Jonathan ensured we were able to charge our car as needed. I have a memory of Caroline standing in the rain with her hood up, patiently waiting for us to connect up so she could wave her card at the electronic eye to start us off. We would love to return, and might try the afternoon tea, which gets rave reviews. Duncan and Teresa

Beautiful garden, easy parking, really friendly owners greeted us full of information about the area. Lovely cotton sheets and soft pillows. Accommodated my Gluten free/dairy free issues including GF cookies in the room snacks. Location is very close to Windermere town and restaurants and only 1-1/2 mile walk or bus ride to the lake. Breakfast was delicious and catered exactly to our requests.

Room was a little small but that’s normal for England.

As all the reviews have said Cedar Manor is First Class from the time you arrive to the time you leave. Caroline and Jonathan are great hosts and nothing is too much trouble. They will tell you anything you need to know about the surrounding area and great places to visit. The breakfast is absolutely lovely everything you could ever want. We booked afternoon tea for my Birthday and all the extra touches were really appreciated. We will definitely return. Our room was large with the dressing room as an extra room was lovely. The bed was so comfortable. There is water and milk in the fridge which is nice.The view of the old man of Coniston out of the large window was amazing. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Just wow from start to finish. Owners could not do enough to make your stay feel luxurious from the moment you arrived. Host johnathan helped with the luggage and I have to say our room Claife Heights was gorgeous, the handmade furniture, comfortable bed, local luxuries like handsoap and shampoos, we had fresh milk and water in the fridge, bar of chocolate with Cedar Manor picture on , all the little touches were fabulous. Breakfast every morning was 10/10, the chef was great, one afternoon we booked the afternoon tea and I'm so pleased we did as I dare anyone to say they've tasted better, this was amazing, it was food heaven. Will definitely return. Keep up the great work and banter , Jonathan has a brilliant dry sense of humour.

booking上标的地址不对，记得输入post code导航。 我们房间里面的淋浴没有浴帘，会溅到外面。厕所有时候冲水要多冲几次。

Cedar Manor is a beautiful historic hotel in the Lake District. We just felt special there - well cared for in a quiet, historic , warm, lovely place. We reserved an afternoon tea on the date of our arrival and it was beautiful as well as delicious. The Manor is a historic building with a lovely garden. Jonathon and Caroline were gracious, engaging and very helpful in planning our days. We used public transit which was easily accessible - we were able to tour Lingholm, Grasmere, Keswick, Hilltop and more. Jonathan gave us great guidance. Cedar Manor was out of the hustle and bustle of Bowness and Windermere but accessible to everything we wanted to do ( parking was good so its a good spot if you drive as well.). Great breakfast included. We felt we couldn’t have made a better choice!

The hotel is so well looked after in every detail and its facade is the best welcome.It really feels like coming home. The owners are very friendly and helpful ,always kind and assisting. The towels for make up removal was a nice feature.

The fact that we had to preorder our breakfast and mention the preferred time instead of having a classic buffet ,but I do understand the concept is based upon as it’s a small hotel. The bathroom could do with a little refurbishment.
