What an amazing gem of a place in the hills in between Sorrento and Positano. Beautiful view. Wonderful hospitality. If you don’t like driving it might be difficult for you on these narrow streets. But the staff was extremely accommodating and baby friendly. We had some issues with our air conditioning, but the weather was nice enough to stay without AC during early June.

Antico Casale Russo is a fantastic hotel with beautiful views. Our room had a dual aspect over looking the bay and olive groves. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was of good quality. All of the staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. Particular thanks to Roberta and Marlee.

Man, I really loved this place. Well located near Positano, but quieter and more relaxing. The hotel and grounds are gorgeous. Would love to come back one day.

Thisis a wonderful old converted farmhouse in the foothills of Sorrento. It offers magnificent views of the surrounding landscape and the Bay of Naples but you need a car!! Other reviews have not mentioned this and although the hotel states it is 1.4 miles from town it isn't! It would take at least 1.5 hours to walk these steep hills and the roads are so winding and with no pavements and add in bonkers Italian drivers, you'd be lucky to arrive in one piece! We arrived at the end of the season and felt that they were using up their supplies for breakfast - not imaginative at all and very little fresh fruit and choice. We had the'economy' room at the top of the house which only had a porthole window and was very dark. The room itself was large but suffered from lack of consistent hot water. The staff were helpful and one spoke English well. The nearby restaurant Zio Sam was a saviour when we didn't want to return to the town in the evening. The food was excellent and very much used by the locals.

We have stayed in this hotel for one night. Lady in reception was amazing - so helpful ! Offered us welcome drink Tasty cappuccino with delicious Italian cakes

As all the other reviews stated. Quaint, secluded, beautiful and brilliant. It is a very small hotel and that just adds to the charm. Set up on the hill side above Sorrento and away from all of the noise and confusion it was a fantastic retreat. The breakfast was wonderful and plentiful and the property is beautiful. The rooms are quaint, clean and very nicely decorated. We had beautiful views from our balcony and watched amazing sunsets with a bottle of wine. The staff are very friendly and helpful and we want to go back soon! FYI, try the restaurant by walking just up the street it has amazing food and reasonable prices

Nice hotel between Sorrento and Positano. Quiet and safe location. 20mins from each town. Free parking and wifi. Complete silence in the mornings. Suite is very spacious with a balcony overseeing the horizon

This hotel is very unique in every way. The staff are always available to help. You feel like you are visiting family. The amenities are just fabulous. We had 3 different rooms and were all spectacular. Very clean. The ceiling in the Junior Suite was stunning and the view from the balcony incomperable. Only cons is that it is a little far up the hill and if you don't have transport can get costly with taxi fares. There are no kettles or tea/coffee in rooms but I was told that they are happy to make you something if requested. The nearest restaurant is Zio Sam and it is THE BEST.... The gardens at the back of the hotel have fruit for the pickings which my 4 year old loved to run around and pick. What a Marvelous place. Highly recommended. All the staff were great. Catherine making breakfast and the reception staff were amazing too. Very authentic relaxing Italian feel....
