Taipa Beach Resort

Excellent location on the beach and a good base for travelling around the Northern area. The room was pleasant and comfortable to stay in.

The location of the room was perfect.....opened the doors and walked straight out to the beach

Was perfect for what we wanted (a group of 10, with 3 couples & 4 singles, so we had 7 rooms) We actually went for a team bonding, training weekend & it was amazing. The staff were very friendly & helpful, the rooms were tidy, clean & spacious, everyone enjoyed there time there (we all checked in Friday and out Sunday) What an excellent location, many of us took the time to enjoy a walk a lot the beautiful beach right there & enjoy some of the local businesses for dinning etc. We even set up a little conference area in one of the double rooms where we meet for training, it worked perfect for us. So highly recommend The Taipa Resort.

Location great, really enjoyed dinner. TV was a fairly modern model.

Very dated. All the furniture is old and ratty. Horrible stains on carpet, shower curtain not even big enough to keep water from bathroom so entire bathroom ended up being flooded. Mattress bouncy and could hear the springs :( For the price they charge, it needs some maintenance urgently.

Our room was spacious and we enjoyed the location and beach view. Some of the furnishings were a little tired, especially the carpet. Generally the room was comfortable and quiet. The restaurant meal was tasty.

Great location and generous room size. The good news stops there. Carpet was stained and filthy, shower curtain ridiculously small, wifi was poor, desk has no powerpoints near it, ceiling fan so wobbly we turned it off for fear it was going to fly off. The biggest problem was the toilet that constantly ran on, making the cistern refill several times a minute, non-stop. Despite raising the issue at the desk on day one, nothing was done, and come the end of day 2, it still hadnt been fixed, so had 2 sleepless nights. The laundry appliances are in the hallway so everyone can hear them running. Very relieved to leave after 2 nights.

Large comfortable room looking out onto our courtyard with beach beyond over the road. fairly well comprehensive kitchen equipment. Quiet, few people around.

Taipa Beach is not quite as exquisite as Mangonui and there isn't much to do there but lie on the beach. Room was a little dark.
