Days Inn by Wyndham Kendal Killington Lake

We had a nice stay over night. Quiet place all you hear is birds and ducks. Room we have is spacious with amazing view on the leak. I would recommend and I would stay here again. Thank you

We loved the view of the lake. Found the shower a bit difficult for older people. A handrail would help.

Very tired hotel that’s trying its best but has clearly had water damage and is in need of refurbishment. Bed was clean and comfortable but bathroom pretty sad.

This was excellent for the price. Very convenient for our drive as easy off the motorway and easy to get back on southbound way. The views were stunning and the outside of the building brick fitted the setting. Also never seen so many dogs at one hotel. Although room smelt damp staff and everything else made this no issue. Can easy forget where you are when taking in the view and sitting out the back

Staff were lovely and it’s very handy for electric car charging but way more human hair and insect life in the bathroom than I generally like. Beds okay.

Very comfortable bed, clean room and a great view of lake from partially openable window (make sure you get a lakeside room - it’s also further from the M6). ~ £130 felt a lot for a twin room but it was a Saturday night in June. Shower pressure poor - not a trickle but weak. I arrived after a long drive so rather than driving to Kendal went with the only dining option: McDonalds (Costa had shut at 7pm I think) with a beer from the WH Smith - TG they’re still going! £10 vouchers on offer for £7.50 from reception which can only be used at McDonalds or Costa so I advise a visit to both in advance to plan your dinner and breakfast (the next morning I went with a sausage & egg McMuffin out of my own cash and used the voucher on a Costa coffee + sandwich for later). It is what it is but the view certainly made up for a lot and the grassy terrace behind the main services building was a nice place to eat…whatever that was.

The staff members were excellent. The facilities are a bit tatty. Heated towel rail doesn’t work. Loose toilet seat. Mirror light not working. Stains around bath tap area. The tea making facilities were not replenished before we got there so had to do that myself and chased up towels for two people not one.

Pleased to report that for a motorway stop it was clean, welcoming and quiet 👍
