There were stains on the bed sheets, the bathtub had rust, there was a used bar of soap left behind. The bathroom had holes on the shower head and the clínex box on the wall. I talked to management about the issues and asked if we could get another room, he removed the used bar of soap and said there you can still use it, I mention to him that the bathtub had rust and it looked, he kept On telling me that it was ok after going back and forth he finally said ok you’ll get another room. My wife whose pregnant and I shouldn’t be dealing with a dirty room and still argue that it’s ok for the room to be in such conditions and wanting us to stay in a dirty room. I will never go back and don’t recommend it.

I booked a room with Lexington Inn and Suites NW Chicago Elgin for one night stay on 10/22/21. When my partner and I arrived the property looked nothing like the pictures on the booking site, the pictures are clearly outdated; likely from a time when the hotel was under different management. We also learned upon arrival that they did not offer breakfast although their website says they do. When we got to our room we found there were large stains all over the sheets (see picture) and hair in the bed. Clearly the bedding had not been cleaned, the sheets had not been changed. We immediately went back down to the desk to ask for clean sheets and they told us they could not provide us with different (clean) sheets... so then they offered us a different room, I said that was fine “I just want clean sheets.” When we got to the new room we were disappointed, it was just as bad. There were stains and a cigarette burn on the bedding and white stains on the furniture in the room. We went back down to the desk and spoke to the manager, who said all they could do for us was offer to have us take a look at another room. After seeing two rooms in a row that we could not sleep in due to the state of the bedding and and unsettling stains on the furniture, I said all I want is a clean place to sleep but it doesn’t seem like they can offer that. I showed the front desk staff pictures of the bedding in the rooms they had given us and asked if he would want to sleep there and he agreed it was unacceptable. My partner and I left the hotel disappointed, we just couldn’t stay there, we cut our trip short and drove home at 10:30pm rather than stay in that filth. Before we left I asked the manager for a number to call to request a refund, he said there is no number, there are no refunds. I asked for a number to call to complain about the conditions of the hotel, he said I don’t know you booked online you tell me. I understand there is a no refund policy but we did not get what was promised online when we booked. We could not even stay there due to the conditions of the rooms. I feel I have been scammed. If you do decide to stay here also be warned when we pulled up there were multiple shadow characters hanging out in the parking lot. Right after leaving I called the site I booked through and told them about my experience, I didn’t want anyone else to call for this scam, and they offered to call the hotel and request an exception to the no refund policy. They called me back a few minutes later and said the manager was not in when they called and they would call again on Monday... we had just spoken to the manager 10 minutes ago at the hotel. I’m not saying don’t book here, but if you do book here do not expect what is shown in the photos. Do not expect a clean room or even clean bedding. I would recommend you bring some disinfectant spray and try not to think about where the different yellow and white stains came from. And don’t expect your money back even when they flat out tell you they can’t offer you a clean place to sleep.

Filthy hotel! Sticky carpets and stained bedding. Should be reported to the health department! Not even worth 1 star! Spend a little extra for a better hotel to not get ripped off! So so gross!!!

before choosing a hotel, I specified I wanted breakfast to be included, the online site said breakfast included. When checking in I saw a sign behind the desk, " we're sorry we do not serve breakfast", Another sign said " ice machine broken", the sign was probably there quite awhile.

Terrible. Bathroom in room disgusting, bed sheets had stains all over. Bed was broken. Water out of shower head had no pressure took 30 mins to shower to get all soap off.

The room itself was spacious. However the only reason we booked here is that they have a pool for the kids. When wr got here they told us the pool was closed. That should have been on the website. Completely ruined our trip for the kids. Will never stay here again. Plus there is no breakfast in the mornings either.

They didn’t have one of our rooms. It smelled really bad. The carpets were dirty. The couch was dirty. Just overall disgusting
