"Great spot in Split, and Malena is very nice and accommodating for requests."

It was centrally located in the middle of Old Town. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, and port. Malena was an exceptional host, it’s like staying with your sweet grandmother. She provided laundry service during our stay and luggage storage upon check out. One of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on!

The only negative is, if it really is one at all, and nothing Malena can do about it. The apartment is in Old Town Split, you have to walk up about four flights of stairs, no elevator. But a great spot overall. Would definitely stay again

"Lovely and comfortable in history, if loud"

Basic, but spotless room with plenty of hot water, good AC, and a lovely host in Diocletian’s Palace. The owner is lovely and took immense pride in showing the room and her place. Travelers should be aware that there are three rooms and a central area with a coffee hutch, and our full bed was indeed a real bed without being two mattresses pushed together. Views are incredible and restaurant/shop access is wonderful!

Check-in and check-out times should be clearer on booking site (says check-in at 12 am and check-out at 10) and it should be clear that this is a private owner and not a hotel. I had a whole day layover and would really like to have had a hotel lobby for restrooms and sitting around a bit. No breakfast or coffee was offered. I was allowed a late check out at 11, but given all the restaurants are open until midnight, the extremely loud noise didn’t really die off until well after, and I didn’t sleep until 1 AM. I think check out times should be considerate of the extremely loud noise in town (and coming back from a music festival, I should have slept through anything!).

Lovely, kind host, gave us fresh lemonade and melon on arrival on the beautiful terrace. Stayed here for two nights either side of our trip and both rooms were clean, cool and quiet. V good location in the middle of the bustling old town with a 10 min walk to bus station and ferry port. Would definitely stay here again.
