Malena Palace Experience

The host Malena was wonderful, very welcoming – she greeted us with lemonade and cookies. The street where the apartment is located is noisy, but we couldn’t hear a thing inside as it is very well insulated. The bedding was comfortable. We felt safe all our stay.

There is no elevator in the building, which wasn’t mentioned, and that was the only negative point

No breakfast, building is dilapidated,stairways to flat dirty ,dark .Area very noisy

Area and description Climb to flat od 70 steps not mentioned, no lift.. Would never return or recommend.

The host was amazing! I didnt realize i had to check out super early of my previous accommodation and she was able to work with me to check in early. She also gave me a map of the city with her recommendations.

Rating based on great location inside the palace walls, comfortable bed, great soundproofing, and good use of available space to maximize storage. My wife and I had room #1 and heard very little noise even though bars and restaurants were three floors down. There were lots of hooks and shelves in the bathroom which made it nice to store toiletries. Otherwise it’s a basic room with limited natural light, somewhere to sleep and rest between activities. One must climb three flights of stairs to get to the unit, and the path to the stairwell goes through a back alley. I thought the A/C was adequate but people who really like to crank the temperature down may be disappointed.

The owner was lovely very hospitable and the location was great! Right in the heart of the old town in Split!

There were quite a few stairs to get to the room, but we weren’t bothered.

It was clean and newish. Great location

No amenities only toilet paper, small water heater above the toilet permanently set on eco. Very old stiff scratchy thin towels. Owners were in room every day even though we told them no. We let them know about a broken shutter and they blamed us and followed up with fits. Some people are not meant to rent out their places.
