I cannot say enough wonderful things about Hotel Imparatul Romanilor. We chose this beautiful historic hotel as the centerpiece of our wedding celebration in Sibiu, and it exceeded every expectation. Many of our guests traveled internationally and stayed at the hotel, and from the moment they arrived until their departures, the service was simply exceptional. The event management team was outstanding. Every detail of our wedding was handled with professionalism, care, and attention to detail. They helped make what could have been a stressful experience feel effortless and enjoyable. Our wedding day was absolutely magical, and much of that credit belongs to the incredible team at Imparatul Romanilor. The front desk staff was awesome. They welcomed our guests with warmth and kindness, assisted with countless requests, coordinated transportation, arranged taxis to and from the airport, and even helped organize dry-cleaning services when needed. Every interaction was met with a smile and a genuine desire to help. The hotel rooms were beautiful, comfortable, and impeccably maintained. Our guests repeatedly commented on the quality of the accommodations, the cleanliness, and the charm of staying in such a historic and elegant property in the heart of Sibiu. Walking out of the hotel and being in the square and heart of Sibiu was simply amazing. The food deserves special recognition. The wedding reception meal was outstanding, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The service staff delivered everything flawlessly for more than 100 guests. The breakfast service throughout our stay was excellent, and the post-wedding lunch was equally impressive. Every meal we enjoyed at the hotel was first-class. The music playing during lunch and outside on the patio is very soothing and relaxing. What impressed us most was the consistency of the service. Whether it was the event team, restaurant staff, servers, housekeeping, front desk personnel, or management, everyone worked together to create an exceptional experience for us and our guests. Our wedding trip to Romania created memories that will last a lifetime, and Hotel Imparatul Romanilor played a major role in making those memories so special. We are deeply grateful for the professionalism, hospitality, and genuine care shown to us throughout our stay. If you are considering a wedding, special event, business trip or simply a visit to Sibiu, I can say with complete confidence that Hotel Imparatul Romanilor offers some of the finest service, accommodations, and food you will find anywhere. Steeped in history and elegance, this remarkable hotel—founded in 1555—is one of the oldest continuously operating hotels in Romania. From the moment you arrive, you can feel the rich heritage of the property, yet every modern comfort is thoughtfully provided. No detail is overlooked. We reserved 14 guest rooms for a large group of family and friends, and every room was unique, historic, impeccably maintained, and beautifully decorated. The blend of old-world charm and modern hospitality is truly impressive. What sets this hotel apart is its extraordinary staff. From the attentive wait staff, Magda and Radu, to the outstanding event coordinator, Radu, the warm and welcoming front desk receptionist, Madalina, and the hotel’s operational manager, Stefan, every member of the team demonstrated professionalism, hospitality, and genuine care. They consistently went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The location simply cannot be beat. Situated in the very heart of Sibiu, Hotel Imparatul Romanilor offers immediate access to the city’s stunning piațe (squares), historic attractions, restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. There is no better or more central location from which to explore this incredible city. If TripAdvisor allowed ratings higher than five stars, I would gladly give one. Hotel Imparatul Romanilor exceeded every expectation and delivered an unforgettable experience for our entire group. We will absolutely be back, and we highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sibiu. It is truly one of Romania’s finest hospitality experiences.
