"spotlessly clean, had everything you need and hosts were helpful, attentive and great humour"

9.0

Breakfast was delicious a wide selection and variety catering for differing tastes. Hosts were lovely very friendly and knowledgable about the area, keen interest in helping us enjoy our stay. Lots of little extras in the room to make sure we were comfy and had all we needed.

We are not early risers so would ideally like to be able to have brekkie later than 0900 but this was our choice as known and clear to us at time of booking.

"Super location and comfortable room."

9.0

The location is excellent, just a 6-minute walk from the train station. When I arrived at 10:30 am to drop off my luggage, I was pleasantly surprised to find that my room was already prepared. The room is cozy and well-stocked with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, a small biscuit, and a chocolate mint. Although compact, it’s well-equipped, with an ensuite bathroom and conveniently located on the ground floor. I didn’t try the breakfast, but it’s available from 8 am to 9 am; you just need to fill out a form and drop it in the basket before 7 pm. The seafront is only a 7-minute walk away, making it perfect for a sunrise stroll. There are plenty of dining options nearby, with Subway being an excellent and affordable choice for breakfast. This place offers great value for money, with a room-only rate of £200 for 4 nights for a single room. It’s ideal for me, as I’m up early for a sunrise walk on the beach and then off to explore different towns by train, where I can enjoy breakfast. I had planned to visit Brixham, and while Marc suggested taking the ferry, I chose to take the bus instead. It’s a 10-minute walk to the bus station, with buses running every 10 minutes. The journey takes about 25 minutes and costs just £2, much cheaper than the ferry. The ferry, about an 8-minute walk to the harbor, runs once an hour, with the last departure at 5 pm. My itinerary also included Teignmouth, Dawlish, and Exeter—each a delightful town to explore, easily reachable by train.
