Lovely staff. Very clean. A lovely room with excellent bathroom and comfortable bed. Plenty of tea, coffee etc - even a satchet of last milk. An old building with character.

The menu wasn't to our taste. Very little traditional English food. Our fault not theirs. Breakfast excellent though.

Room was a nice size. Had a bath and a shower. Staff were friendly

Mattress springs coming through. Bed very uncomfortable. Shower handle broken. Dressing table mirror broken. Worst Caesar salad I’ve ever eaten (chicken on bone and dressing wasn’t Caesar)

The young lady that served us breakfast was exceptionally nice. Very efficient and polite. The room was very clean and had good facilities.

The only thing that slightly spoilt the stay was the heat in the room. The window didn’t open and the portable air conditioning unit did not blow enough cold air out to cool the room. It was uncomfortably hot, especially at night.

The location is stunning, the area is beautiful. The hotel itself is right in the middle of the High Street so its great for exploring the area. The staff were extremely warm and welcoming and the room was very comfortable and quiet.

The room itself was perfectly fine although if I had to mention anything, the shower cubicle was on the small side and the room itself was quite dark when getting ready etc. A full length mirror would also have been great, but overall id certainly recommend staying here.
