"Great breakfast and staff! Let down by the room😑"

Perfect central location, great breakfast! Friendly helpful staff and nice modern bathroom and all clean. Nice comfortable double bed.

The room was a bit bleak, grey walls with no pictures or any decoration. The tv was just put on a window ledge along with a couple tower fans. Old furniture (maybe part of the look) and just a metal clothes rail. Bed was a comfortable double. No instructions for internet in the room. The night we stayed had a wedding and was very loud until 10:30pm. Not such a complaint as we’ve stayed above pubs before so kind of expected it. But thought for the money, it should be reflected in the disruption.

"Character Inn but overpriced"

Lots of character and the staff were excellent.

Mattress wasn’t very comfortable and the evening meal, although reasonably priced, was below average.

Room needs better organising. Three quarters of an hour wait for a poorly cooked breakfast not good enough.

"Very Good"

Breakfast was lovely Mattress on bed very uncomfortable on right side. Didn’t try the left as nearer windows & very noisy outside until well after 12.30. Windows didn’t open properly & was very hot. Staff were very helpful & friendly.

Perfect central location. Breakfast great. Friendly, helpful staff Parking at rear. Good communication prior to stay.

Evening meals were poor, didn’t live up to expectations of menu. 1 meal very small portion. 1 meal returned as over cooked, came back cold. Rooms clean but whole pub decor appears tired. Carpets grubby. Very steep steps , expected in old building. Rooms tight for space. Not suitable if any mobility issues. No evening meals Sunday or Monday for residents.
