Vedana Lagoon Resort & Spa

This spot is elite: incredible units, infinity pool, breakfast. Wow.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Vedana. The resort provides a very relaxing atmosphere and I felt like I could finally get way from the hustles and bustles of the big city. The breakfast is delicious and offers a ton of healthy choices. I also loved the outdoors shower.

Everything. Staff were just as fabulous as last time. So were the birdies at Ara bird park.

The resort is located along a 1 km strip on the shores of a small peninsula in the lagoon. You get around by bicycles, or if you catch a free ride with the hotel's small electrical buggies. It is very relaxing and convenient. The staff were extremely nice and helpful and the breakfast had a large choice of Asian, Western, hot and cold food.

It's an hour by car from Hué (daily free rides), 1.5h from Da Nang (~USD50-60 one way), so not so convenient if you want to see something beyond the resort. But great for families and couples who want some quiet time, perhaps a bit isolated for solo travellers.

Beautiful, tranquil setting. Excellent breakfast, massages, yoga and tai chi class. Amazing sunsets from the pool area.

Die Anlage ist wirklich außergewöhnlich! Mit dem Rad entlang der Lagune zu radeln, durch eine Allee aus Palmen, das war wirklich etwas ganz Besonderes. Wirklich besonders ist hier aus das Personal, das unfassbar freundlich ist. Positiv überrascht hat mich auch, dass man hier auch als Familie sehr willkommen ist - wir waren in allen Bereichen gerne gesehen, alle haben sich über uns gefreut & sich toll gekümmert. Wir waren sogar beim Tai Chi & Yoga als Familie. Auch wenn’s natürlich schön wäre, wenn’s dahingehend noch ein extra Kinder-Angebot gäbe.

Die Unterkunft kostet ja im Vergleich etwas mehr als andere - absolut berechtigt sicherlich durch das besondere Setting. Jedoch ist es schade, dass dann im Resort selbst alles auch sehr teuer ist - von Verpflegung über irgendwelche Service Pauschalen bis hin zum Spa. Das Restaurant zum Beispiel ist sehr teuer & das Essen nicht schlecht aber eben auch nicht dem Preis entsprechend. Auch das Vogelhaus auf dem Gelände kostet extra Eintritt. Hier war ich wirklich entsetzt in was für kleinen Käfigen riesige Aras gehalten werden. Ich hatte außerdem heimische Vögel erwartet, jedoch sind hier vor allem exotische Vögel aus Australien oder Südamerika. Einige wenige dürfen frei fliegen - hier hätte ich mir gewünscht, dass die Dame, die einen auf Schritt & Tritt begleitet, mal erwähnt hätte, dass es sein kann, dass die Vögel auf einem landen. Dann hätten wir nicht fast einen Herzinfarkt bekommen als ein großer Vogel auf dem Kopf unseres Babys landete & wären mit ihr vllt gar nicht rein gegangen. Hier & da sieht man im ganzen Resort, dass die man mal etwas sanieren oder ausbessern müsste - aber vielleicht nicht unbedingt dann wenn Gäste direkt daneben ihren Urlaub genießen. Als wir einen Nachmittag am Pool verbracht haben, haben auf einmal 5 Menschen ewig riesige Schirme neben uns zusammen gebaut. Und noch etwas: es wäre schön, wenn es ein paar Vegane Optionen geben würde beim Frühstück & im Restaurant.

An amazing space with supportive and friendly staff. We had a waterfront villa with the 8h transport which gave us lots of opportunities. Also using the spa with great treatments.

There are two spaces for breakfast - one of them isn’t that cozy and a bit loud.
