Crusoe's Retreat

Such a beautiful, out of the city place, next to an active Fijian village! An abundance of culture, beauty, and relaxation! I'd go back to them anytime.

This is a lovely place to wind down. Down to earth, not flash just great location and kind staff.

The staff were warm and friendly and the atmosphere was inviting. There was a range of fun, free activities Every day always run with smiles, laughter and enthusiasm. The view was magnificent and there were lots of comfy hammocks and spots to chill out by the beach.

Nothing

The location is great. Postcard picture from your room. The food was plentiful and tasty. Room size is great with comfy bed.

Listed activities were not always available. Small gnats and mosquitoes everywhere.

Peaceful beautiful coastline with wonderful fish whilst snorkelling Great to have included use of snorkelling gear and kayaks Gardens were colourful and well tended Most of the staff were friendly

Lack of shade for lazy boys at theswimming pool+spa heater not working Cost of main meals and wine not value for money though it is relatively isolated Handrails up steep steps to our seaview bure as well as along the front of those bures could be improved in places Lack of any mosquito killing spray in the bures Accounting needed checking+took some time to complete

I’ve been here 15 years ago when it was under different ownership. So I returned to find it to be very boring & undeveloped. Price changes for food daily here, it goes up 50% depending on the crowd. The food is just okay if you’re really hungry you can eat it. I didn’t understand not getting a room key to lock your door, we were told they lost them all so we had to leave the door unlocked at all times. This place needs a facelift. The good news you would love the staff & the village next door. They will feed you if you’re hungry & personally I was starving
