Beechwood Guest House

Honestly, all great. From the impeccable cleanliness, friendly owner to the array of little touches, e.g. Fridge in the room, extension lead both sides of the bed to ensure enough sockets, cold water carafe to a mini box of chocolates. Shampoo and body wash provided as well as a kettle with tea and coffee. Lastly, the bed was very comfortable. The neighbourhood has LOTS of restaurants including a fab award winning fish and chip restaurant over the road (Coleman's) In addition, it's 5 minutes from the sea front and a lovely park. Last but not least, the metro is 8 mins walk away and a bus into Sunderland is literally 1 minute away. For bargain hunters with a car, there is a Barbour factory shop with great reductions 10 minutes away.

I like to think I am picky but fair. I can honestly say that I was totally happy and would unreservedly recommend.

The hotel is modern,clean, has everything you might need. Very comfortable and reasonably priced. Will definitely stay here again the next time in come up this way. 100% recommend.

Great location, room was very clean and comfortable. The facilities were exceptional for the price I paid ie Netflix, YouTube and Alexa clock, fridge, filled glass water bottles and even a little fold up table and chair! The owner Rez couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Just great!!

Spotlessly clean and great decor and really well priced. The owner, Rez, gave us a lovely welcome and the hospitality in the room even included a small box of chocolates 😊 We opted not to have breakfast but only because we were visiting/meeting family so I cannot comment on the food but the price per person (£10/day) seemed very reasonable.

Kept banging my head on the beam in the eaves but more my clumsiness 🤣🤣

Small hotel with a great host! The room and bathroom were both very clean. The location is awesome as well, next to a lot of restaurants and just a block away from the beach

Location. Clean, tidy, functional,

Excellent position short walk to seafront and funfair also 2 parks one with boating lake and mini train and both have children's playgrounds. Pub and award winning chippy opposite and choice of restaurants. Minutes walk to bus station and metro, Morrisons and shops and ferry to northshields. The Grotto is well worth a visit on the E1 bus or car and you can walk across the Lee's to it and the light house.

We had no issues with our room. Although Rez didn't check the room or make the bed every day he always asked every morning if we needed anything for the room and to knock on his door anytime.
