Alcazar Palm Springs

The outside Spanish architecture was very alluring, but once inside the design was mismatched, modern and minimalistic. It was a little bit of a trickster situation, not what I expected. We use the Jacuzzi in the pool area, which was very clean and we like the fireplace in the room

Overall, very disappointed with the quality of this property. The workmanship in the room was Shawty. There was no padding under the carpet, so it was very hard every time you walked in the room. Even though the vibe was sort of modern minimalistic, there was no artwork or pictures on the wall, strange. The caulking in the bathroom was poor workmanship. There was even this little alcove on the side of the room that would’ve been perfect for a cozy sofa, kind of sitting relaxing area and it had one chair that was small and it looked so empty and just really all the designs seem like an afterthought. The worst was the buffet breakfast in the morning was a joke. They had 1“ x 2“ tiny little chocolate croissants that are the kind that you get at Smart and final or something. They had two types of teabags available and one type of coffee. I think there were bags of potato chips also. The front desk staff that we encountered once on the evening check-in and then again in the morning seemed very uninterested and aloof. Overall, a very disappointing hotel experience for the amount of money that they charged . Find another cute boutique place nearby and keep driving by this one.

Pool area. Espresso machine, fairly quiet hotel. Staff were helpful and polite.

Some mornings the breakfast was not put out by 7.

This was my third visit to the Alcazar and I had another wonderful stay at this hidden gem. Great location, close in and convenient to everything. Walking distance to downtown and just on the edge of the Design district. This is a small, quiet, casual hotel with spotlessly clean and comfortable rooms. The outdoor pool area is well kept, and the staff are pleasant and accommodating. Good value for the money. I highly recommend this hotel.

Location was perfect for our one night in PS.

This is my fourth year in a row staying at the Alcazar Palm Springs, and there’s a reason I keep coming back. The hotel has a true boutique feel, and having stayed in several different room types over the years, I can say each one is wonderfully unique. The vibe is consistently excellent, and the pool area—with stunning views of Mount San Jacinto—is incredible. The staff are warm and welcoming, and the housekeeping team is among the hardest-working I’ve encountered in all my travels. The location is also unbeatable—just off Palm Canyon and within easy walking distance of the best restaurants, shops, and nightlife downtown. Robert, the Owner/GM, clearly takes great pride in the property, and it shows. There’s always thoughtful upkeep happening to keep everything looking fresh, most recently with a beautifully renovated pool area. All of this combined has made the Alcazar my go-to yearly getaway, and I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Great location - walking distance to a number of nice restaurants and easy drive to others. Room was on the ground floor next to the pool which was very convenient. Enjoyed the pool and loungers. Nice coffee station, OJ and croissants in the morning. Our 1st time here a few years ago we only stayed 1 night due to our schedule. This time we stayed 3 but would have stayed for a 4th if it wasn't sold out.

Could do with a few more hooks/towel bars for our swimsuits in the bathroom.

The beautiful pool area reflects Palm Springs' resort heritage. Hotel is an easy walk to the vibrant downtown.
