Horrible service the rooms smells bad.Cleaning agent is toxic no breathing circulation.

Clean rooms with all necessary bathroom and kitchen facilities. Very friendly and helpful staff. A rental car is a must have for this location.

Good hotel. clean, friendly staff. Nice pool. Need car to move around the island.

My stay was great.

The pros: This small aparthotel has great personal service. It is clean. The kitchen is complete enough to cook a nice meal. The rooms are spacious and the bed is very good. The AC is in the bedroom and works ok. The cons : The other ventilators were old and did not work that well. The room was a bit stuffy. There is no view out of the balcony and the hotel sits in a bit of a messy neighborhood.

Inexpensive and a nice place to stay. The rooms come equipped with tools to make meals. The part I loved was the court yard, beautiful to sit out and great place to have meals. The air conditioning needs to be improved, it is warm. A nice swimming pool and lounge chairs. Awesome staff, friendly and so helpful.

This was our 6th year here and it gets harder to leave every time. The staff at L'Esperance make you feel so welcome they are better than family (depends on your family, lol). For a short stay it is amazing. For a long stay, there are challenges but with the economical price, you learn to work with it. The internet was a disappointment this year. It was hit and miss but I guess when its free you can't complain..? However, the rooms are clean and its nice and quiet. We love it here.

This spotless Aparthotel is situated in a residential area of Philipsburg. You're staying in a quarter where the locals live. We preferred it to sleeping in the busy tourist area. Nevertheless across the street is a supermarket and 2 minutes driving away is a huge Grand Marché. The apartments are adequately furnished, have air conditioning, the double bed was very good and there's a nice size fridge. It's very clean everywhere. We were there during Easter, but even then the cleaningladies were never absent and the towels were fresh daily. The staff at the reception is very helpful and willing to assist with reservations. We liked the terrace since there is always a nice cool breeze. During our stay we awoke on a few nights from car alarms that went off in the neighborhood. There was never a break in, but the repetitive noise was disturbing. Then again: you can't blame the hotel. We would advice a rental car to discover all of the island.

Not in a great area if appearances concern you but we've been to the island many times so no bother to us...Rooms are very clean and well kept as are grounds... 1 bedroom nice but only on small closet poorly located beside night table making access difficult... Keys on long metal handles needed to lock/unlock main door from inside and out also a pain...Staff very friendly and accommodating.

This hotel was nice enough, but in a rough area. We did not feel safe going out at night. It is not near any decent restaurants, so we had to pay a $10 cab fare (each way) for meals. The staff was very nice and accommodating.
