Healey Hotel

Upon arrival I was asked to prove payment (email) to be told I was ripped off! Handed keys & told to go round the back, we headed down, stepped over the broken glass & bottles, entered the cottage, the smell of damp hits You as soon as you step inside. The sofa stunk, the glass in the back door broken, the previous guests pizza still in the fridge!The toilet didn't drain, neither did the shower, the cottage was just a complete dive, staff unhelpful, too busy on their mobiles! We literally stayed in there 12 hours, as soon as woke we left, however, the beds were comfy!

Stated 4 nights, no toilet roll from start to finish, I carry my own so was ok, but this indicates the level of care and attention to housekeeping and cleaning. The room itself was ok for the price. TV had very limited channels on freeview none of the main bbc/itv. I will be working in the area for the next few weeks but will look elsewhere

Beautiful location, friendliest staff I’ve met. The room I was in needs a refurbishment but some of the other guests stated their rooms had recently been done. The cleaner forgot to empty the bathroom bin which was a small thing but an important one. Nice to go into a room woth crisp freshly cleaned bedsheets and more than one sachet of tea and coffee though!

Had a terrible experience from start to finish,room nothing like the photos,had no bedside lamp bathroom was terrible cold and damp and dirty,smelt terrible,all you hear is banging of doors stamping of feet I felt a wreck by the time I left I asked for an iron but got an attitude and no iron I would never stay here again

Upon arrival the staff were somewhat abrupt and our family room that had been pre booked had been given to somebody else, we were then given a double room with a Z-bed and we could hardly move about the room as it was cramped. On the Saturday morning we had to wait approximately 35 minutes for breakfast which was over cooked, I can only put this down to the cook being over stretched as the poor lady was also having to bring the food out to the guests aswell as cook it.!

The hotel was close to family, hence the choice. The room I stayed in was a bit dated but was clean and comfortable. I can appreciate the work that the hotel is undergoing. It has potential to be a great wee hotel. Can’t fault the staff who were friendly and helpful. Would stay here over a chain.

Though the hotel room,and staff were fine I could not get any sleep all night as it was too noisy. There were doors slamming constantly. The sound proofing was not very good so I did not get much of a sleep. I would not stay again because of this only.
